There are just so many possibilities of how this story could unfold if Rey is indeed an Avatar, which makes her more powerful than Luke.
I figured the force avatar stuff came from comic books so I looked it up. It was fanfic. Not only is it not canon, it's not even old canon. For fuck's sake the shit revolves around the zodiac. They're saying anakin and darth bane were both gemini. In other words, calm your tits, she's not a force avatar.

No other person in the history of the franchise could use Force Powers without training. None. Not even Anakin. And here this girl is, using mind control, mind reading, telekinesis, and is skilled with both a ship and saber. And nobody knows who her parents are???
You know, other than the only untrained person we've seen with a force connection. Anakin. Don't tell me you didn't realize the force was the only reason he was able to compete in a pod race much less win. Human reflexes are too slow for pod racing. If the movie didn't make it clear, the novelization certainly did.

I never heard of Force Avatar shit either, but I think he's referring to that Clone Wars arc with the Son, the Daughter, and the Father. But they never called them Avatars.

I call them avatars because it's quicker than saying 'living incarnations of the force'. That's pretty much literally what they are though, in the dungeons and dragons sense of the word.

Call them the Force Partridge Family it's doesn't change that it was dumb. Which is kind of the problem with these fanfic theories. They are based off of damn prequels. People bitch about how close 7 was to 4, but there are just as many or more trying to pull in garbage from 1-3. Based on the movies alone, the prequels about ruined Vader and screwed up the Force big time.

Yes, being force sensitive helped Anakin podrace but podracing was not a force power. No other character in canon has been able to use any force powers without formal training, ever. None. Period. Bulba was not force sensitive.

When I referred to her being a Force Avatar I was going by the definition of the word.

av?a?tar.
['av??t?r]
NOUN
1. a manifestation of a deity or released soul in bodily form on earth; an incarnate divine teacher.
2. an icon or figure representing a particular person in computer games, Internet forums, etc.
Basically what Anakin was. Anakin was the Chosen One but he was a "manifestation of the force" in a bodily form. I didn't want to necessarily say she was the Chosen One, because I thought Anakin was at the time I wrote that, so I called her a Force Avatar. But what the fuck ever. She's Anakin 2.0. So calm your tits.

Rey becomes more powerful than Luke. I'd put money on it. She already proved she was far stronger than his offspring would have been, and she did so with less than a week passing between that and her even knowing that the Force existed.

JJ Abrams is as bad as M. Night Shyamalan when it comes to fucking plot holes and flat out scientific inaccuracy. I mean, I can forgive Tie's making sound in space, and plasma shots being slow...

...besides the obvious, such as people several galactic systems away being able to see the destruction of the Hosnian system even if the weapon itself was a "hyperspace" laser, there are other fucking stupid holes.

First, wouldn't it have pure darkness on the planet when Hux was giving his weapon since they supposedly just absorbed a sun? Why was it daylight outside? Wouldn't the planet get flung out into the far reaches of space now that it's sun was gone, and it had no orbit? Could the weapon move? If it could, did they understand that everything in the system they were firing from would also be destroyed, along with the system they were firing on, because those planets would lose their gravitational orbit? Wouldn't absorbing something with the mass of the sun create a gravitational force on the planet itself so strong that it would crush everything, or likely leave a black hole?

Was there anyone working on the film who had passed High School physics?

Scientific accuracy has never, in any shape or form in any Star Wars media, been a thing.

It's been space magic from the first moment.

Plot holes have occurred in every SW installment, because it's space magic combined with multi-year breaks between "episodes." Today's plot hole is tomorrow's patchwork statement about why it was what it was.

You may not think it be like it is, but it do.

I'll start and end with Snoke being the wrong race to be Plageuis.
Plageuis being Muun isn't even canon itself anymore. The only part of the lore surrounding him that is are the statements by Palps in the prequels. Not that it really makes Snoke = Plageuis any more likely. There isn't anything to indicate that him concealing his identity after theoretically surviving Sidious' attempt on his life would mean he was no longer Sith. Breaking from the Rule of Two by itself wouldn't be enough since the Sith existed before the Rule of Two was implemented. So Pablo Hidalgo's statement that there are no Sith in TFA is still the final word on it as far as I'm concerned.

1. Precognition is a force power.
2. Obviously it's possible for people to figure things out on their own otherwise no one would have ever figured out how to 'use' force powers.
3. Anakin was a lot younger than Rey. There aren't many untrained force sensitive people at all to look at, especially adults.
4. Which canon are you talking about? New Canon or Legends canon? Because if we include legends canon, we can add in all of the first people Luke recruited for the new jedi academy and corran horn. All were found because they were using the force.
5. I think she's been trained. Legends canon has a few examples of the force being used to wipe memories.
6. Finally, you have a messed up idea about force strength that definitely doesn't match legends canon and probably won't match new canon. Force power is random, it's not like proving how much indian blood you have in you. The vast majority of the force wielders are born to non force wielders.

Well, I'll give him this, until we see the new movie, or at least some of the trailers for it, there isn't much else to do until then (in this thread I mean). I know nothing about all the extended SW lore, as I never read a single book or anything and even though I played a few of the really early games (X-Wing, Dark Forces, etc.), I always considered those to just be games and not really canon, so it is actually kind of refreshing that they pretty much did away with all that crap and I can sort of participate because my mind isn't cluttered with all that EU stuff. Now if only my memory were better!

But still, I think you're overthinking it Wooly. This is JJ Abrams. He solved a problem in Star Trek by allowing them to use a transporter all the way across the galaxy, which would instantly break every single defense strategy ever designed, and negate the need for starships in 99% of all situations even. Why? Because cool!! If he wants Rey to be a "force avatar" then he will, but it won't be for any well-thought-out reason you're giving here, it will be because cool!! So more likely than not, it won't be any theory that requires much more thought than cool!! It could be Luke's kid, or Obi Wan's, or Chewbacca's, if the cool factor pegs for JJ when he hears it. That's pretty much it, I'm afraid.

Look, everything I said about Rey is speculation because there aren't enough hints... but this is fact. Snoke is Plagueis. There's no arguing it, there's more evidence here than against Casey Anthony.

The truth about Supreme Leader Snoke Darth Plagueis [EXTENDED THEORY] - YouTube

He went through all of the canon and found all of the evidence regarding Snoke's origins. Snoke said, "I've seen the Galactic Empire rise, and then fall." So he's very old and very powerful. If you watch his video, it leaves little doubt that Snoke is indeed Plagueis. Where else could have a powerful dark side user have received his training, since according to the rule of two it was Vader/Sidious? He has to be Palpatine's master, and there's even more canon lore in the novels to back this up.

Plagueis being a Muun is no longer canon, btw. There are also several other quotes providing evidence including that we know that Snoke had his power by the time of Ben Solo's birth, and that Palpatine may have been searching for him. His fucked up face looks like he survived some wounds that otherwise would not have been survivable had he not have the ability to, "create and sustain life."

"To cheat death is the power only one has achieved."

Snoke also tells Kylo that he's, "his most gifted apprentice." So he's trained other Dark Side users? Palpatine? So he's basically saying that Kylo Ren has more promise than Darth Sidious did, which is probably true because of Ben Solo's heritage as a Skywalker.

One last thing, Kylo Ren himself says in response to Han telling him that he'll be crushed by Snoke that, "The Supreme Leader is wise..." Wise? Dark Plagueis the Wise?

Between that reference, the theme, the quotes, and the fact that there can be no other explanation for such a powerful Dark Side user there leaves little doubt. It's canon that Snoke was sitting in the background watching Palpatine's machinations. Why else would such a powerful Dark Side user sit in the background and wait for Palpatine's fall if it wasn't his master? If Snoke isn't Plagueis, then where did he receive his training? Who else could he be?

Once you eliminate the impossible and whatever remains, must be the truth.

So to sum it up, Palpatine assassinated his master who was then resurrected by his ability to cheat death. By then Palpatine had achieved too much power and Snoke could not challenge him directly, so he went into hiding and waited for his former apprentice to fall. Then he came out of the shadows, aformerSith more powerful than Palpatine, and began to turn Ben Solo to the Dark Side from the very beginning (his birth) exactly one year after the Battle of Endor. The Sith no longer exist, true, because he's not Darth Plagueis anymore. They and their teachings are gone, he's something else entirely, if not a very powerful adversary to Luke and Rey.

You really are dumb as fuck. You know there are force traditions aside from the Jedi and the Sith right?

The truth about Supreme Leader Snoke Darth Plagueis [EXTENDED THEORY] - YouTube

This video features Disney request for John Campea to remove his feature segment (showing biographies of many TFA characters) in which Snoke is illustrated with Plagueis' face.

I mean if there were a feasible way to do this, I'd put a large amount money in an escrow as a bet with you and then on Dec. 17, 2017 that money would be awarded to the winner. Seems childish, but I certainly would do it... if not just for having you shut the fuck up.

Two years from now, I want you to come kiss my ass.
