Where is my World of Starcaft you commie faggots?
They'd ruin the Terrans for me on every level if they made it now. A bunch of faggot devs that have never been cool in their entire life that will try to appeal to what they "think" Highschool kids will like. For Example: The newest Saints Row. Cringe woke garbage amped up to 11 that not even faggots will enjoy.

The storyline will have multiple factions of Terrans, again. One faction with Kerrigan leading them saying that we have to understand and accept the Zerg as they are. Theyll closely resemble Saints Row characters. This will be the one story you'll closely interact with. The other main faction, the despicable, almost corny, ever so comical, evil doers that are depicted as businessmen on one hand, religious sects on the other and believe the Zerg are evil.

I could see them running a storyline that the Zerg beat back the Protoss and now the Protoss are living amongst the Terrans across the Terran Homeworlds and outposts. Giving them an excuse to do a minority plot line and just make everyone, even minorities, roll their fucking eyes all the fucking way around. We'll help them establish a new colony with their advanced technology that they'll have still refused to share with the Terrans. Insert expansion or five with this newest Protoss outpost saving the day, or finding ultimate weapons in ancient relics that will be instrumental in every battle against the bad terrans and the bad Zerg. Insert side issue with the Evil faction of Terran trying to steal the Protoss technology at every corner of the story.

Lastly, the storyline that they'll give the Zerg will be torn into two different factions as well. One faction an extremely smart, passive faction that just wants to survive and live in peace. The other faction that blindly hates and just wants war. We'll find out within the first expansion that its actually the Terrans that are at fault for this war happening in the first place. Terrans settled and encroached upon Zerg worlds and obliterated nesting sanctuaries. Pushing them off to almost uninhabitable worlds and now the Zerg are just trying to survive. Insert a reoccurring theme where the good Terran and the Peaceful Zerg are almost at the point of making the War Zerg's queen understand peace and then the mean old bad Terran come onto the scene to seize the opportunity to kill some Zerg. Undermining "peace."

(After imagining how each races story would play out in this day and age.. I hate to admit I'd probably play it and hope I could play the obvious two choices. The Nazi Crusader Businessmen with Guns or the Warring Zerg Hive.)

As long as 2 characters can permanently delete their max level toons by merging in an Archon and scream power overwhelming I'm in.

Really it's just a shame they lest such an iconic massive IP fade into nothing.

They made zerg noble savages in heart of the swarm
Yeah, and that was the biggest narrative failure of SC2. It was fun being the bad guy in SC1. The formula was quite perfect.

1. Terran- Introduction to the world, the characters, and the game mechanics.
2. Zerg- The Empire Strikes back, you get to be the bad guy, put your enemies backs against the wall.
3. Protoss- The mysterious OP aliens that come in and save the day with the help of new formed friendships.

The level design and variety in SC2 was quite good and might have been perfect by the time their were releasing the Nova Ghost mission DLC's... But, the story was fuckin retarded after Wings of Liberty. Everyone was a good guy or shades of grey, and their character motivations were so convoluted and weak.

The actual propper way to write starcraft 2 was all but spelled out in the art style and races.

the zerg and the protoss should have been the 'same race' the protoss were the ascended form of their race that shed their flesh for the purely spiritual/energy/technology. and the zerg are soul-less husks feral rape machines, or puppeted by the overmind's cerebrets.

something should have happend requiring some key protoss to merge with zerg and return to their primal form. which set it on a conflict path with everyone. the humans don't want zerg interupting their honky tonks. the freshly liberated keregan doesn't want this new thing creeping into overmind slot, the old protoss don't want to return to the old barbaric ways of the zergtoss/proturg ways.

BUt no, they had to do super devil. had to try to make kerigan NOBLE SAVAGE WAR LEAD OF WELL MEANING NOBLE ZERG. basically they had to try to ape WC3's story because they got no ideas.

SC2's story was a grindy, "war" setting without urgency or consequence.

I dont think Blizzard has ever been an excellent story teller. But it would be nice if they did a better job. Just like jayrebb jayrebb says, the setting and back drop matter. Especially for their games.

That's a problem with basically all games/movies/every other kind of story these days. Nobody can actually be the good guy/bad guy. All the good guys are actually secret scum bags who have been hiding it their entire lives, duping the world, and all the bad guys are actually just misunderstood heroes who do bad guy things but for honorable and just reasons to save all the poor maroons who have been duped by the good guys who are the actual bad guys.

Everything pre WoW was serviceable with pre TBC WoW being a jumbled mess. Post Wrath though they clearly hired a team of lobotomized mutoids to handle writing everything for them who never once played or reviewed previous games.

WoL's campaign was pretty god damn infuriating. Seeing Raynor turn into a simp for the woman who murdered his best friend then gloated about it was sad.

Didn't Brood War end with him swearing he would see her dead no matter what it cost him?

Oh right the final mission is her beating down Artanis, Mengsk, and the UED at the same time. Raynor peaced out at her sudden but inevitable betrayal when she killed Duke and Fenix earlier in the campaign.
