Have you played Bloodstained? Really good metroidvania game by the dude who did a bunch of castlevania games. So I picked up Castlevania: Lords. Of Shadow 1&2 on the summer sail. I've been playing a bunch of the 2D metroidvania stuff but I also picked up, and I'm just gotten used to playing with a controller again. The two Blasphemous games were awesome, so I figured I would up the ante.
Beat the first one last night, and oh my God it was probably one of the coolest games I've played in a long time. The damn soundtrack alone was worth it. Some pretty crazy and epic battles, and I don't play a lot of these types of games but I was pretty blown away. But damn epic music kicks in and I don't think I've gotten so many chills up my spine / endorphins playing a game in a long time. Really was just fun experience.
Started of the second one this evening and I don't know, it starts off pretty neat but then it gets a little wonky. I'm not real far into it but it seems okay, does not know if I'm going to think it's as amazing as the first.
I guess the nice thing though is both of them run flawlessly because they're so old, but with everything cranked up, they still look great, I mean not by some of today's standards, but I'm sure if I would have played them when they came out it would have been top notch.
Only goofy thing is the second one doesn't allow me to run 3440x1440, where is the first game allowed me to do that. Digging around online it seems to just be a bad port of the console game, which is why I've always been apprehensive of buying these types of things in the past. I just know anytime I try to change the resolution, the game will crash and I have to reset my computer. Still looks fine but I wish the FOV was a little better.
Figured I'll beat it, but I also picked up a bunch of those Batman Arkham games, which I've never played. I've heard they were pretty good, and I figured it'll be a nice change of pace once I get done with playing Dracula and fighting Satan and his minions.
It's nice though just finding some of those older triple A games that I skipped back in the day that seem like they still hold their own.
Was going to pick up a couple more but then I didn't realize the damn sale ended, thought it was running to the 13th for some reason.
Red Dead redemption 2 is still on sale though and I've been tempted to pick it up because I enjoyed the first one on PS3.
I've had those Lord of Shadows games in my backlog for years. Maybe I'll try the first one tonight. So I picked up Castlevania: Lords. Of Shadow 1&2 on the summer sail. No, never heard of it. I'll have to check it out.Have you played Bloodstained? Really good metroidvania game by the dude who did a bunch of castlevania games.
I think I've got both of those but I had picked up a long time ago on sale, I just need to remember to play them because they're definitely on my backlog.I've had those Lord of Shadows games in my backlog for years. Maybe I'll try the first one tonight.
The Arkham games are incredible. Good decision to pick those up. If you like them you might also like the Shadow of Mordor games.
Definitely check it out, it’s cool. The skill system was fun, lots of abilities. You start off basic and grow a lot, by the end you’re double jumping and zipping around all over the place. A prequel was announced recently, coming out next year, I’m hyped for it.No, never heard of it. I'll have to check it out.
I did play Last Faith which was pretty was pretty cool, but I think I like the Blasphemous games better. The soundtrack on those are pretty awesome, especially the second one.
First one was vert- which is almost as bad as no ultrawide at all. CLoS2 is on the Flawless Widescreen support list though, so it should fix the second game (and be hor+).Only goofy thing is the second one doesn't allow me to run 3440x1440, where is the first game allowed me to do that.

I had it in my cart during the sale with a few other things, but screwed up on when end date. Put it on my wishlist though. Should have just grabbed it, but I kind went down a rabbit hole looking at all the stuff available.Have you played Death's Door yet?
