The amount of redshirt military guys in this final season was pretty hilarious. Add in Nancy/Eleven kills and we might be hitting 75+.

I did like how they flat out murdered an entire squad of guys before they go into the rift that last time, they get completely busted and detained on the way out, surrounded by corpses of people they murdered an hour prior, yet all is switfly forgiven, they are graduating school, back at jobs, etc. No worries!

Derek is the only interesting character in the entire show. He needs to wear that infamous t-shirt from the man show.

Iron Maiden in the finale was the best part.

Wasn't really a fan of S5, but I loved vecna as the bad guy... Well, I guess part of the bad guy?

When season 4 ended I thought all hell was going to break loose on Hawkins, but then season 5 starts and really they're just on lockdown. Felt like they could've done more there.

I thought the finale was decent enough minus the retardation. The mind flayer fight was ridiculous as already mentioned with the teleporting kids. I also feel like Linda Hamiltons character was completely pointless. She seemed to just be there but not really accomplish anything at all. Underused asset.

I feel they wrapped it the best they could. I'll still hold season 1 and 2 pretty fondly as some of the better TV show seasons I've seen.

Pretty clear after season 2 the had no ideas.

I've just checked in on the thread for memes

The creators barely got S1 greenlit and it was just supposed to be 1 season if I remember right. It was a smash hit then they had to make shit up

I feel like I easily could have written a better general idea on how this could have ended based on the shows history.



I really thought this was a foreshadow to how the ending was going to take place. Against Vecna the fight could have taken place in the mind. Have Eleven bring in the gang, who then get to be the very characters they got to play in Dungeons and Dragons. It would have brought the entire theme full circle.

Oh yeah, the boss that is still alive and was never truly dealt with. This is where Eleven would have sacrificed herself. Using her "At this point" god like abilities, including flying, she would crush this being into a solid form that would both entrap it and her.

So what do the kids help with while Eleven is dealing with the ultimate bad guy? The Military of course with the help of



I mean, did he actually die in Season 4? What happened to Dr. Owens? They had an entire arc revolving around an inner conflict within the military that just vanished. This is who the kids/adults could have worked with to prevent interference as Eleven did final battle.

Seriously what the fuck was season 5? I feel like the brothers were forced into writing something they did not actually want to write.

This review sums up some of the issues pretty well.

The finale episode had about 50 black folk in it despite being in rural Indiana and Lucas being the only black kid in the town prior to this season.

I think the biggest problem with the ending is how they had to account for adult actors since this show took so long.

it should have ended with th crew getting to go back to being kids and enjoying a DND campaign but instead had to kind of write around graduating and all the kids going on with their own adult lives and trying to project that.

I mean the writing was weak and plot holes all around but just the fact that the nostalgia show about kids aged out enough that they needed to make up a whole new crew just so there was still kids in it was a problem they were never going to get around.

How did a show about 5 little boys playing dungeons and dragons morph into a show with girl bosses running the military and playing Rambo in different dimensions?
