Hop killed like, at least, 25 US soldiers. Seems like that'd be a problem.
And there was never even any discussion about "maybe we shouldnt kill these people, who are just Americans doing their jobs and just trying to capture us, not kill us"

No hesitation. These high school kids and a small town sheriff had no hesitation whatsoever about just murdering all of them.

S5 sucked in a thousand ways, but this is a common complaint for me across most modern TV and movies. No one is even allowed to give voice to normal moral considerations. Its not even allowed to acknowledge them.

You can have your shooting scene if your story needs it, but somebody's gotta at least notice that youre committing mass murder.

Capture? The military dudes unloaded with machine guns on them as soon as they breached the gate. As they should have.

Now loser hopper and Rambo Nancy taking out 25 trained soldiers armed with automatics is kind of a stretch. 25 guns vs 2 would not end well for them.

I mean when the options are mass murdering 25 people or saving the planet... I'm not saying Hitler was right. I'm not saying it... But he probably thought the same thing.

I'm not saying they were wrong to shoot the soldiers, not at all.

I'm saying, in a show where every character agonizes over every decision with long teary heartfelt speeches, it doesnt make sense they're all like "yeah I can pull this trigger with no hesitation and lets never even discuss it"

They spent at least half a season hesitating over whether they could be friends with Max

Yeah this is definitely a moral issue isolated to modern TV

I'm always up for watching a clip from Clerks but what the fuck are you talking about? The shoplifting that no one saw?

I get that some people just need to argue with everything, and I'm not even criticizing that, but try to make sense

You don’t see a connection between you complaining about an issue from “modern TV and movies” and this clip complaining about the same thing from a 5 decade old film?

I’m just pointing out this issue isn’t unique to the 2020s or whatever. Plenty to criticize in Season 5 I just think that particular criticism is looking for something to nitpick

I agree with you on the incongruence, but by the time they were casually waxing soldiers the last thing I wanted was additional moral pontification scenes from these dorks.

Yeah I gotcha. I.did find it jarring they just went back to life and Linda Hamilton just took the L and moved on like nothing happened lol.

Buncha soldiers got torn apart in an interdimensional rift

Thinking about this scene after having watched Andor is interesting. Considering what characters like Andor, Luthen Rael, Saw Gerrera etc thought about the "innocent" Death Star servicemen would only lead to the answer of "Fuck em". Luthen especially would accept that an act of evil in isolation is for the greater good and accepts any guilt.

The full self-actualization of a terrorist against the empire can be seen in this famous speech:

I have a buddy that was trying to 'educate' me on this yesterday. He is 100% certain that by 1/12 there will be a surprise episode(s) drop up to, and including, theaters. He described it similar to breaking the 4th wall saying 'audience is being controlled by Vecna' and / or this is all in Mike's head and we'll get the real truth soon. If they somehow manage to pull this off it would be a level of coordination and secret keeping beyond the pale and they should transition this team to intelligence agencies post-haste.

Oh sure, there is another episode.

Jon Snow stood on the wall, a bit dazed, having been shown by the lord of light what could possibly happen if no real action was taken to form an alliance against the horde of undead that were coming. A confrontation had only shown that the Night King would only gain a Dragon if they attempted to stop him in that fashion. It would take both a full alliance and a new and old kind of magic to completely end the possibility of death for all.

Yep somewhere there is a season 7 and 8 of Game of thrones as well.

I can believe it. You know they left 11s ending ambiguous for a reason. That cliffhanger has a lot of people pissed off. It's definitely a way to keep interest up for a future restart.

Most people here can't stand her and hate the show but for a legion of feminists she is their Luke Skywalker.
