The idea of criticism why James Gunn made it slow mo is so ridiculous to me.

marvel tried going the hyper feminist route for five years with non stop failures. The new DCU is putting consumers first and shocker: 2 B years of sexual evolution results in sex selling. If a tv show or movie has a fat female lead I have no interest in watching it. If tv shows and movies have ugly cast, I have no interest in watching it. It’s actually the primary reason I didn’t even give Rings of Power a shot. It’s just not appealing to me. Or it’s a litmus test : canary in a Coal mine. If you have just generally unattractive people as your lead characters, it’s not going to be a very fun or good movie. It may win Oscar’s but it won’t sell out theatres. I watch movies for a good time, not for clout or to smell my own farts.

To this day I don't understand how the black chick that played Navia 2 in spartacus still gets work. She's ugly and she can't act. The original Navia was 100x better looking and a better actress yet the ugly idiot chick is getting all these roles like LotR.

The more I think about this movie the more I dislike it.

Things like...

Catching a falling building in it's entirety. The rest of the building would collapse around him still killing whoever is still underneath.

I thought Superman could only be hurt by Kryptonite, magic and other insanely strong metahumans...now apparently nano tech as well.

My biggest issues are (as mentioned above) Lex calling out commands to defeat Supes in hand to hand combat. Superman should be able to hear those commands and intelligent enough to destroy the fucking drones but instead needed the dog to help.

And Lex again...my biggest issue with the movie. If you have a interdimensional pocket universe at your wim...why the actual fuck would you care about a country that is primarily fucking sand?!

I mean, the "Superman-lifts-buildings/islands/planets/whatever without them breaking" trope has been around forever. And Zack Snyder did it just the same in Justice League 🤷‍♂️

Think y'all are being tarded about it tbh.

"Oh no the physics doesn't make sense the whole building would collapse."
No shit, buts its superman, realism isn't required, that's always how he's been portrayed, nbd. The movie has far, far more egregious plot holes than the bldgs not collapsing.

Plus it allows for interesting counterpoint in other media. Homelander, for example, mentions how he can't pick up a plane because of physics, he would just punch right through and rip the plane in half. That scene works because the expectation from superman and other comics that erroneously shows him lifting planes and shit all the time.

Seriously what's next, complaining that superman can fly despite not being aerodynamic? He should just be jumping really high and then missing? How about him landing should be like a meteor impact and leveling several city blocks every time?

It's superman, he flies. He picks shit up. Its what he does.

Got me in here defending this shitty movie smh

Thought about it some more. Superman didn't go after Lex because of the dog... It wasn't a "John Wick" moment. It was fear... He needed the dog back out of fear.

He even says "it's just a dog" but if the dog died and Kara the drunk found out. It would have been a completely different movie. Probably a significantly better one.

Only reason that was a success is because they largely didn't have anything to do with it. If you look at all the successful comic book movies that were successful post End Game were movies not made by Disney. Spider-Man and Deadpool. Everything else done by Disney has been a complete failure. In fact, I think Disney is having a competition with itself to see how shitty of a movie they can make with the highest budget. Because they have that "fuck you" money.
Deadpool was 100% made by Disney.
Yes, they allowed Reynolds / Levy the leeway to make the movie that they wanted but it was still 100% made by Marvel under the leadership of Feige.
Not sure what it matters, just wanted to

GOTG V3 was really bad. I didn’t even finish the third act to be honest. And I love GOTG 1 and 2.

An origin story as the third and final chapter in a trilogy is unappealing. It should’ve been Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy against an enemy.

how Peter quill couldn’t understand that was not his girlfriend but an alt universe version with different memories and personalities is ridiculous. 5 year old children can understand this concept but a 40 year old man can’t?

Brandon Routh's Superman/Clark Kent was spot on (acting wise, not that stupid fucking script), but I really liked the physics of the wing popping off the plane when he was saving it. heh
