Saving Private Ryan.Slither was pretty good, but like @Void said, he's playing his snarky / comedic self. I don't remember when it came out but it was a pretty fun movie. Early 2000s maybe, just remember I saw it at the theater.
I don't think I've ever seen him in a real serious role.
I think that was more of just a bit part or a cameo before he was well known. I'm trying to remember what he did in the film, but I don't even think I knew who the hell he was at the time. It's been a while since I've seen that movie, but I vaguely remember him being in a as just a grunt or something.Saving Private Ryan.
I guessed the same, the interview is a known trick to quick establish background. Is there a chance that a lot of that 3rd, 4th, 5th villain stuff is all part of flashbacks to establish Supes has been around for a while. Just trying to think of if it will be handled better to not make the movie feel so busy and so many bad guys.
Reeves also did a crazy posture change.
I don't have much fear about Fillion as Guy. I think it would be hilarious after his short sting at TDK if he would just keep showing up as characters who never survive more than a movie, and rinse and repeat....I think Glenn Powell would’ve made a perfect Green Lantern over Fillion. I love Capt Reynolds but I don’t see Fillion as a Guy Gardner Green Lantern. He seems like he could play a stoic Jon Stewart style Lantern.
lots of character can work: watchmen, the suicide squad, x-men, mystery men, black Adam, etc. Black Adam had a ton of problems but the justice lords was awesome.
Gunn wanted this to be kind of the spiritual successor to the Reeves Superman movies.Fuck the Fortress robots...but the interview intrigued me. The sudden shift of body language and tone of voice from Clark to Superman I really liked.
Much like Reeves Superman posted above. I might have to give this a watch.

i mean ppl forget gunn does a lot of superhero movies, brightburn is a psycho superman, super is a retarded kickass/batman
Brightburn was fucking terrible. GotG was only good because chris pratt is fucking awesome. The rest of the cast kinda sucks. Okay Michael rooker is good too. But the rest of them are kinda terrible. Especially the stupid gay wrestler.
Not holding out any hope for this.
