Gunn make peacemaker dad a skinhead nazi. The comic books were that his dad was a Concentration campo commendant that raised peacemaker to be a "peace through violence" guy. Gunn changed him from a WW2 nazi, to a KKK Grand Dragon.

Gunn is a fag but this is a lame complaint.

I feel like you are using Nazi in the modern online leftist definition if you think an alien conquering another planet = Nazi. "everyone I dont like is a nazi".

I dont want to defend gunn here because basically he just ripped off Dragonball and Invincible but making the leap from "Gunn is stupid for changing established characters and stories in a completely unoriginal way" to "The guy just makes everyone Nazis to get his dick hard" is WILD.

Considering your species / race to be apriori superior (White or Kryptonian) and by extention entiteled to conquer and rule others on geneologial merit, as well as do some purposeful breeding to preserve/re-create the superior species hits a lot of Nazi boxes. Missing the obsession with Nation States / Nationalism in the superman version, but aside from that it covers quite a bit of the original German Nazi Ideology.

God this movie was awful. Worst Superman movie ever, even worse than Superman 4 somehow. I just do not get how Gunn could ruin it that totally. The only saving grace is that I watched it on the high seas in minecraft.

Wouldn’t shock me at this point as this one has shown legs. Will go past its budget box office wise this weekend and will probably hit 100 mill international. With a quick turn around into PVOD it’s pretty much a sucesss for WB which is all it needed to be after the disaster at the end of the previous universe

F4 has the nebulous 200+ million but no specific number budget which means it ate money by the truck load during reshoot. If it doesn’t hit 600ww I bet it’s a loss for Disney

I hope this leads to some soul searching and a minimum 5 year hiatus on comic book movies. I want them to look back and see the last (and only) successful comic book movie post end game was Ryan Reynolds and hugh jackman dudebroing out and Wesley snipes old man ass shit talking and goofy fucking Channing Tatum mumble rapping Cajun style.

Only reason that was a success is because they largely didn't have anything to do with it. If you look at all the successful comic book movies that were successful post End Game were movies not made by Disney. Spider-Man and Deadpool. Everything else done by Disney has been a complete failure. In fact, I think Disney is having a competition with itself to see how shitty of a movie they can make with the highest budget. Because they have that "fuck you" money.
