Henry Cavill Superman GIF by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

it would be neat if he came in as Zod tho, but with this Jor-El i'm not sure how you'd do that

Cavill with a beard playing General Zod would be sick and I hope they do that.

That said, all of this recasting DCU actors in The New DCU stuff is a bit confusing. Momoa as Lobo, etc. It's distracting and takes you out of the new universe by reminding you of the old one.

Well, I don't know about this Superman movie, but I though GOTG3 was pretty bad, somewhere around a 6.5/10!

6.5 is incredibly generous for that fucking movie. GotG 3 had 1...ONE...good scene and we all know what scene that was. Everything else was dog shit.

Gunn likes to check boxes off in the least conspicuous way. Momoa fits the bill.

Marvel wanted a black guy to play Drax and Gunn fought like hell to keep Batista in the role (who is Filipino and Asian heritage). Marvel execs made multiple attempts to recast.

They couldn't use a DEI argument because Batista represents diversity.
IIRC, Bautista is Filipino/Greek

Caught a stream. It was an okay flick. Nothing outstanding. Soundtrack was garbage which was surprising considering how good GotG was with all the oldies. I thought Cornsweat was fine. Lois and the rest of the press people were useless and forgettable. The real win was the justice gang. Great add and I would definitely go see a justice gang movie. Guy Gardner and Mr. Terrific were great. Hawk girl didn't do much but was fine as a background character. Gunn does do team ups well. Superman being involved but not a central character would be fine if or when they do it.

I did enjoy The Batman more than this. It will be interesting to see how they merge the universes, or maybe they won't even try. Who knows.

Everything rocket was very emotional and I hated how they handled warlock but It makes sense. Warlock or sentry full power makes everything ridiculous. Warlock and sentry got there balls cut off in a way.

I loved they made warlock a child and not god power. Atleast he can become a real badass if they keep him around

Saw this tonight.. Movie is mid and forgettable which seems on par with Hollywood Jew slop of the day.

It is a popcorn flick and you can enjoy it if you don't mind it being Campy and Hokey, James Gunn is an absolute fucking faggot all around and there is enough groan worthy shit to complain about being hammer fisted by this loser faggot.

If you can get past that then the casting is pretty decent, what's his nuts (Beast, Mad Max henchman) played a decent enough Lex Luthor, there is a decent amount of homage to the comics and it doesn't take itself very seriously.

If you were looking for a full meal you will walk away disappointed but if you are satisfied with a gas station honey bun this will do pig this will do.

The 6.5 rating was supposed to be the meta joke of good movies are only rated on a 3 point scale of 7 -10 (anything below a 7 sucks).

I look at movies more on how many times I would be willing to rewatch a movie. For GOTG1 it may be unlimited (after 10+ times I'm still not sick of it), but for GOTG2 and 3, it's one and done. I don't regret spending my time on those single watches, but on the truly "bad" movies I do (D&D movie (2000), looking at you).
