Zaide did a media thing about it a couple months ago. I don't think it's gonna be that big. There are not many people that will play EQ with that old of a client. There was a lot of moaning about QUARM when it first appeared. And they have the same client, but with QOL changes.

Looks like they settled on 2box with six month unlocks. What are some good boxing combos for this era?

FWIW, a mouse scroll only zeal plugin is allowed on TAKP/TLP - its on their wiki

ENC/CLR probably best 2 box for all eras... but im over charming

thinking DRU/BRD (idk about 2nd - really wanna do druid, anyone got ideas)... or SHD/SHM but meh...

pretty low launch numbers but server is the most classic experience ever built imo... client isnt bad with takp zeal... duo box is cool

I mean there is Quarm, with better QQL.
Additionally, the lack of permanent legacy items is a self-defeating move
2box might help for a bit, until Quarm change his mind and do it too. (i bet they will with limitations.)

takp devs aim for mac client support and that means no QOL features for PC client... kind of stupid, because you cant play takp anymore on an updated mac for last few years so the population for who actually plays on a mac is small. maybe their direction will change in the future.

but im not sure id say quarm is classic lol with all the custom content (especially the upcoming stuff with new races/classes)... not saying this is better than quarm, but id compare this more to a fresh p99 with 2 box.

legacy items arent in, like manastone/guise/etc - they were just gonna put in the crappy stuff

Quarm has way too much custom stuff now to be considered classic. To me it has jumped the shark.
