Another article I read said it got caught on the launcher and ripped on launch so yes, and it was damaged anyways.

Still, we discussed this crazy man a few years ago, either this thread of main politics thread. It's good to see we have a happy ending and another page of history is now complete.
Although I doubt due to the speed of things he was aware the Earth was not flag afterall with only 1800 feet and a few seconds before his demise. Should have took a plane ride instead.

It likely was never going to fly, they're already building the next one (or two). This one was going to maybe static fire at most.
