At this point MS should just have its own game rental service and rule out the need for gamefly on the XB1. They are already cutting them out of the loop as is.

Pay a buck a day to play X game then they can forcibly have the console delete it from you unless you choose to keep it longer. Kind of scary the shit they can do with it really. I do not particularly mean scary in a good way either, but their is some potential good shit that can come from it if they dial back some of the bullshit.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. With most AAA games running 8-12 hour campaigns you won't see a publisher endorsed rental service, ever.

I personally think that the lack of Indie support is going to hurt the Xbone the most in the long run. 2 years ago i couldn't have given 2 shits about the hot new Indie game, most of them were just some new hipster focused platformer or something similar. Fast forward to today, Indie titles are the new mid tier games. Quality development tools and engines are available to smaller studios that are making some very high quality games that are innovative and unique. They can take a lot more risk when they don't have 50M tied up in development.

Yeah, and they would intentionally limit the availability, just to drive desire.

Microsoft and Sony are trying to add more and more consoles to be sold at launch day, but Apple would limit it to like 5-10 consoles per store. That would cause the people that want it to get into a frothy rage about not being able to get it so they want it even more and it drives stock prices up and then Apple can charge even more for it due to exclusivity. Oh, and it would probably only be as strong as the half way mark between Wii U and PS4. But it has a big Apple logo on the front so people will buy it.

Haha i assumed that, but i hopefully price would not be too ridiculous. It would be more like what the Xbox One wants to be in the end. However it would be far more welcomed since most iOS users are already used to how it works. Apple fanbase wouldnt bat an eye at it i would think.
