I swear the best buy for kids this Christmas is either a 3ds with Zelda and Animal Crossing and Pokemon, or a Wii U with Mario. But no one will listen.

Yeah, 3DS library is nuts. I don't think the WiiU library will be great until Smash and Kart come out in Spring though.

Kids already have the 3ds, and tablets, etc.... Fucking spoiled ass brats. I had to play with a used atari 2600 that my dad picked up at a garage sale when all the cool kids were playing nintendos.
My mom called me last night and asked me what the kids want for xmas. Im like PS4, get one. So she will be hunting for one. Its good to give the old lady something to do, lol.

Mine are too, I got them fucking brand new ipads last year, and they didn't have 3ds' yet. So I got lucky this year I bought them two pokemon 3ds' two big fat batteries from Hong Kong for the things that last forever, and will grab them up probably 3-4 games apiece on them and a bunch of clothes and they can deal with it.
My son's 10 on Christmas eve and my daughter's 13 in March, I don't censor what games they can play. They just aren't interested in violent ones for the most part. Like if my dad bought GTA 5 when I was 9 years old, I'd have played the shit out of that, without ever even touching the story line. I bought GTA5 and just ask if he wants to check it out and he's like "Nope. Got mines to craft, planets to little big and terrarias to...terrorize?"
He's just not interested. He's a creative one, not a destructive one. My daughter played through The Last of Us a time or two though and loved it.

In the house - 2 360's, a PS3, 2 Wii's, a Wii U, 3DS XL, Kindle, 2 Iphone 5C's we just upgraded them too.... A couple older game boy advances, a DS or two, and a PSP.
And yeah. When I was a kid, I had a brand new Atari 2600. But my cousin had an intellivision and the graphics kicked ass. The baseball and football fields actually looked like baseball and football fields. So we always played his.
Let's see. I had a NES, then a SNES and Genesis and Gameboy, then a N64, then a PS1, then a PS2, then a Gamecube, then a Wii, then a X360, then a PS3, and now a PS4. Next week I'll also have a 3DS XL.
I have now memorized my 16 character randomly generated password for my PSN account from trying to log in to PSN on my PS4 today and having to retype it.
