THEY WHERE NOT WORKERS
They where not even employees.
These where students, who where forced into an internshipat Foxconn.(if they refused, they where failed/flunked)
Except the internship was not an internship at all, it was them working on assembly lines, in full shifts, just like regular employees, but for free. Zero money.(what do we call forced labor with no pay again?)
Something that would be completely illegal in any US/EU country.
Internships are to shadow in the field of which you are studying, not to do day labor for free at a job that has nothing to do with your major.
This is Foxconn's fault, and they deserve all the bad press and flack the get.
Sucks for Sony it just happened to be with the manufacturing of their product
