Do they test it or do they take it no questions asked? I guess if it failed the first time I could just reheat it and try again, heh.
Also, PS3 Slim is already $199 on Amazon (I would replace the HD so 12GB size is no worry).

Did a little research and that's nice. Those are the only two games I don't have that I wanted so that works out great, whether I do a trade in or not. Thanks for the heads up, Spronk.

Yeah I bet MS is paying a drone army to make accounts just to spread disinformation.
People are making PSN for their working PS4's in order to post that they are broken so they can cause some kind of drop in sales so that they can download via PSN faster from less users online .....

Real review.
Ps4 arrived Friday night as advertised. Unboxed, plugged in, started up without issue. Downloaded firmware 1.5 in about 1 minute. Loaded CoD Ghost in about 1 minute as well. Everything flawless.
Then tried to use PSN and it was down most of the night. Tried at various times over the course of a few more hours and only got logged in once. Tried doing a few things but the connection stalled/timed out.
Ghost was impressive and fun... But not blow your mind different from previous gen. Honestly, GTA5 on PS3 feels more next gen. All this says to me is game developers were caught in no mans land in 2013.
I think you can tell that the machine is an impressive piece of hardware, and know the software just needs to catch up, as is the case with any gaming cycle.
From my experience, Sony gets an "A" grade for the system and a "B" for the launch. The "B" grade for the PSN issues, very limited lineup of games, but in the end redeemed by ultimately delivering a relatively cheap costing system on the day they said they would.

Neat they changed that I guess, used to be extended onto the original before... disappointing but would explain the price drop on it as well. (I think 3 year extended was $89.99 for PS3?)

Especially considering I personally am feeling great I waited until January or so on mine since just in case this first batch does have a flaw it should be a painless process then with enough on the shelf to swap out quickly rather than waiting weeks on a replacement for. Such a shill I didn't give them a dollar for this launch yet, not even a PS4 controller for my PS3...
(Do feel like I'm missing out on Resogun a little from the feeds and comments though - but PS+ has it queued for once I do get the PS4 so it's just a matter of patience - I'll have it for free like everyone else, just a little later)
