Well the "weight" part of the Darksaber was explained in the Rebels episode where Sabine trained with it: the Saber was built to draw on the emotions and control of its user far more than other lightsabers. They more or less explained that in the episode too.
i guess the question is why is Mando having a problem? does he want to fight with it or is his hesitancy to fight one of his own making the blade heavy? how would the emotions thing affect his usage of the blade?

He should've donated a third of his beskar spear and had the darksaber welded to the remaining part to make a Lighthalberd since he obviously sucks with the sword but is a fucking beast with a spear.

funny how we are having a Mandolorian discussion about a mandolorian episode in the BoBF TV show. hopefully they made some appropriate changes in the last two episodes to not make this show suck overall. if they toss in another rainbow faggot moped chase next week, thats gonna kill any momentum they gained.

after some clarification from that rebels clip (i've never watched rebels, i honeslty can't get past how the lightsabers in that show look), i watched a couple short clips of some other stuff and i guess the idea is that, yes, he is back with his clan and he was expecting it to be familiar territory with them, he's grown past them. everythng he's been through with grogu, as well as being allies with bo-katan and boba fett, it has extremely thrown off his mojo. it's similar with boba fett in that these two people thought they had their life figured out but now that life doesn't quite make sense anymore.

Maybe Luke will teach him how to control it when he visits Grogu. That would be pretty fucking dope.

was it a ring world around a star or a planet? I didn't catch that? There's precedent in the series for around a planet, but around a star is on an entirely different scale which that in no way looked, and there's no way that wouldn't be the hub of the galaxy if it were around a star. Hell, they could probably fit all the galaxy's inhabitants on a ring world.

Edit: watched it again and answered my own question. Big diamond thing was some sort of artificial light source.

interesting I did not notice the artificial light source. I saw something about it being an incomplete ring allowing light to hit it in different ways. Pretty impressive concept either way no doubt.

I don't remember seeing the light source directly either, just the ring and the shadow plates.

Yeah. It's going to be ahsoka most likely though, tying in the next series.
Rosario did film something off schedule fairly recently, but putting the pieces together with only 2 episodes left that could place Ahsoka and Luke potentially very close together and that would be potentially major...like more than 2 episodes major.

Dafuk, did that vid just have a testosterone level test kit sponsor / product placement ad? Kudos for knowing their audience.
EDIT: Yes.

True. It could also be them walking. And walking. Then walk some more. End credits.

To be fair, a beskar helmet would've been a lot more useful against The Mountain than the spear.

i dunno, i usually just push the slider right by the ads. Vice Grip Garage is sponsored by Manscape which is some ball grooming product. no idea, i dont do porn. i dont care about ball grooming. could be worse, it could be a gay Raid: Shadow legends ad.

I had no idea I was so nostalgic for Episode 1. Some really nice nods. I especially liked the camera shot call-backs. There was a subtle little one where the camera looked like it was placed on the hood of the starfighter looking back at the cockpit as he headed toward beggars canyon; pure Phantom Menace camera angle.

Regarding the spear, Im just trying to figure out how that big ass spear was melted down and all he got back was a little ball wrapped in a cloth bag. (Emily Swallow pocketing some Beskar in that scene.) I swear if its a god damn replica of the ships gear knob and Grogu ends up using it as a weapon with force powers Ill be a bit amused and annoyed at the same time. Swinging that shit around like Magneto when he was breaking out of his prison.

Also, didnt know that about the Saber drawing from emotion. Moff being able to wield it like its a regular light saber is interesting in this regard and for some reason I think they did talk about this in the last Mandalorian season. But this argument also lends credence to my theory with Paz earlier. Him being weak minded since he struggled to wield the blade far more than Mando did could be another clue. Fuck I hope Im wrong.

Definitely seems set up that Boba is going to be the Mandalore as he's from a true Mandalorian bloodline and the prophecy says a Mythosaur (his crest) will lead them. Hopefully he'll give up on Tatooine and just becomes full time Mandalore instead.
