Not sure if Homelander really fell for Stormfront's little chat. It felt kind of like his next to last scene with the former head of Vought, where he realized she'd been lying. He didnt fly into a rage and kill her on the spot.

I never read Homelander as white supremacist, but as a super supremacist. When Stormfront was talking about "our culture" and "our people" I was thinking, what do you mean "our" people?

Maybe just wishful thinking, hoping for a Stormfront/Homelander showdown

The Nazi regime wasnt white supremacist. It went further than that. European Jews were white. Nazi "pragmatism" would align really well with what Homelander fantasizes about, so it makes sense that information from Stormfront would please him.

But it makes no sense for them to go full nazi.

No, but just like in real life, they have no qualms reaping the rewards of that research.

Vaught took the nazi “race of supermen” literally. Homelander is a literal Aryan Superman, so it isn’t surprising Stormfront is enamored with him.

Like others suspected, Vaught wants to be able to transfer powers into adult subjects safely. Leadership at the company would love immortality or super strength for themselves, and they could sell miracle drugs offering the same for billions to the elite.

Yeah, American history tends to gloss over that the Nazis intentionally killed off Roma (gypsies), and had no qualms with killing off Poles, etc. when they got in the way.

Furthermore, while Homelander polls best with midwestern whites, if he's anything, it's a Supe Supremacist. He may not actually agree with her goals, but is just willing to go along with an older woman worshipping him for the time being.

Giancarlo Esposito running the company does kind of give away that Vought will ultimately not be a White Power organization, but there are a lot of ways they can swing it. Edgar may not know Stormfront's true goals, may know them and is simply humoring her until he has the product he wants, or may not care if there's a race war as long as he can sell the formula to make soldiers for all sides.

Giant penis snake guy and screwing while splatting a robber. Awesome episode, long time since I laughed this hard.

It's questionable whether Homelander or Stormfront or Cindi (or Maeve...) can even hurt each other. Stormfront went full power against Cindi and she was knocked down but not seriously injured. Homelander burned Stormfront and she's fine. Maeve stopped a full speed dump truck in the first season without moving an inch or suffering even the slightest injury.

With none of these people able to suffer injury from even very energetic events, how are they supposed to kill/injure each other in battle? Seems like it will just cause a lot of destruction for no result.

maeve is definitely not at the top tier. she can't fly, she depend entirely on homelander for that. She told Starlight that she broke all the bones in her arm or something saving a school bus, so she is not insane levels of deflection, just hyper-strong compared to humans. Probably similar to Translucent, who drills couldn't destroy but his innards blew up through a butt bomb.

Starlight is even weaker, a simple circular blade cut through her skin after a few seconds, she wouldn't be able to go toe to toe with any of the tier 1s either.

Homelander, Stormfront are definitely tier 1, we'll see about Cindi. She only got electrocuted and shot and it didn't faze her at all, we don't know if you snap her neck, burn her, drop her from a great height, butt bomb, etc will permakill her or not.

i hope they ramp up stormfront a bit, so far she feels like she is cosplaying a nazi and isn't a true believer

I think they told that story about Maeve just to have a story to tell. Watch that scene where she stopped the dump truck, she stood in its way at 30+mph and it insta-stopped without moving her a millimeter. She may or may not be as durable as stormfront and Homelander, but she's tough. Agree with you about her flying, and she doesn't have any projectile or offense like starlight or stormfront or homelander.

Cindi seems ridiculously tough though. The bullets didn't phase her, Stormfronts power was on full (did you notice the purple eyes and different sound from before? She was going full out) and didn't kill her. If she's telekinetic as shown plus impossible to kill, then...

I dont think power levels are consistent or well documented at all in this show. Basically who knows who can do or withstand what.

The set dressing heavily implied they were in a jewelry shop, and thus the circular blade was presumably some diamond tipped reinforced tool for gemcutting. When Starlight got hit with the .50, she did bleed slightly, but had no lasting effects.

Cindi is clearly Starlight+ level, though the plot hole is why Lamplighter didn't end her then to solve the problem.

Is Homelander strong enough to toss those two hos into space? Possibly.

They could have still needed her for their tests. They seemed to only destroy things that were of no more use to them. Super powerful telekinesis powers is a pretty damned good ability. It was also Kenji’s power...maybe he was an unwitting test subject for power transfer that wasn’t as powerful as hers?

Pretty sure Lamplighter couldn't kill Cindy if he wanted to, as he was legit afraid of her. He also seems to be of the "normal durability" level of supes who might have an awesome mastery over a particular element (fire) but you can still bullet to the head him like throwaway-havoc-emp-kid got dropped by Butcher, or acid can eat away at him like Pukeman.

Oh and Pukeman not immune to his own ability? How does that even work.

He was the opposite of translucent. His insides were invincible, but his outsides were not. Literally the worst type of invincibility.
