Andrew Luck and the Colts have won one more playoff game each season he's been with us. Statistically, that puts us in the Super Bowl. Losing the Super Bowl, but it'd put us there.

We didn't lose anybody, and we gained more. Last year we made it to the AFC playoffs. It's just statistical guesstimates at this point.

All my pats homerism aside. Luck is amazingly talented, this might his/colts year.

I just don't see enough of an improvement to make me think they can beat actual good teams in the playoffs. I mean last year they beat a cinci team that can't win in the playoffs and the corpse of Peyton manning. Then got shit stomped by an actual good team.

Right and who's going to beat them in the AFC? Didn't the Patriots defense get shredded in the offseason? The Colts picked up a lot of key pieces (running game, replacement for an old ass Wayne). Sure, their interior defense is still dogshit, but they were one game away last year and got better.

New England will still be top tier. The ravens and Steelers always have a shot. Cincinnati may eventually beat someone in the playoffs, and the bills will be really scary if they get some production from the QB position. Just saying that the Colts haven't beaten anybody who is actually good when it counts during lucks tenure. Not that it is his fault. They feast on a weak division then get bounced as soon as they play a legit top tier team.

If the Colts play the Colts does it count as a win or a loss?
Looks like a draw to me.

I meant the Bronco's.

I don't think it's a question of if they'd be a favorite in the AFC championship game. I think it's just that they're more likely to get to that game in the dark due to easy division and likely 1st round bye.

Well, I was wondering why Vegas had them as the afc favorites for the super bowl. Which would make them favorites in the conference championship game. I just don't see it.

It does not mean that they'd be the favorite in the game. They're just much more likely to be there. It's not a bet on 1 game. It's a bet on the entire season. Say the Colts are 40 percent to win the Championship game if they make it there, but are 80 percent to make it to the game then they're 32 percent to win the AFC as of right now. If you take another team, lets say the Dolphins. If they were in the Championship game they could be 60 percent to win it if they make it to that game, but are only 50 percent to make the game due to having a harder schedule and not likely having a first round bye etc, would make them 30 percent to win the AFC as of right now. All hypothetical right now. It's the same shit that's happening in Basketball. The Cavs are the betting favorite to win next years title, but it's because the East is dogshit and they're more likely to make it to the finals than anyone in the west. The Spurs or Warriors would probably be favored head to head against the Cavs but neither team is anywhere near as likely to be in the finals as the Cavs are.

The Colts had no D and no run game. Luck can carry them through the regular season, especially in that division, but that shit don't fly in the playoffs. Maybe they addressed those issues well enough this year, IDK. You just aren't going anywhere when you're 19th in D and 22nd in rushing.

Didn't he get smoked by Cleveland's D last year? Anytime the Colts went up against a decent defense last season they were put down.

Exactly my thoughts. Denver played like garbage due to old and or hurt Manning. They were destroyed by the Cowboys and the Patriots. Both playoff teams . I also would have bet the farm on the Ravens walking all over them last year had they played. I guess we will see if they shored up those holes this year. They are in a weak division so have been given a free ride the last few years.

Again, the whole odds thing is about the entire season, not specifically 1 game. Path of least resistance and all that.

colt's problem the past few years has been run defense.

doesn't look to have improved much this year.

a decent running team -getting good yardage- means the safeties &linebackers have to pull in try to prevent said yardage, which opens up the middle passing game...

colts get good dline play vs the run, then they could make a good run for the SB, otherwise, not gonna happens.

I think they walk into the playoffs again and get stomped by real teams.
