Fuck, who am I kidding. Ill be there at launch day with bells on. Even if i get 1-3 months out of it (like all the other mmos in the past few years) so be it. Well worth the $50-60 entrance fee to smell a new mmo and be on the ground floor running.
I dont listen to UT. Even though I got to liking the guy and alot fo what he says is true, most of what he says is frothing at the mouth crazy. (He really has a weird fetish for old school devs)
If I listened to all the haters I would never had fun in 1/2 the games I tried and liked, at least for a while. SWTOR I enjoyed for a few months, TSW was good for a few months, shit even WAR, RIFT and Conan I had fun with for a few months each. They were all memorable to me in one way or another. I no longer see mmos as these life changing events that I need to devote years to. I think those times are over. I treat these things as games now and if you do this, every one of them has redeeming qualities. Even if they end up sucking in the end, its awesome to be a part of the community in these games starting out. Thats where I derive my pleasure from. And BTW this fits nicely with my current lifestyle, being a family man and all.
