The CGI looks worse than Jurassic Park - how is that possible 33 years later? My son may want to see it because he likes dinosaurs eating people, but he's 6 1/2, so I don't think that was the intended audience.

Land of the Lost meets that Outer Limits episode where a neighborhood gets transported by aliens?

Seems like it could be fun

90s Outer Limits was awesome - probably the best anthology series since the original Twilight Zone

The 90s episode you’re thinking of was a remake of an original Outer Limits episode from the 60s. Basically same plot at its core: aliens use them as a test case for a new slave race and they sacrifice themselves to save the rest of humanity

Outer Limits episode I’ll always remember is “The Balance”. Aliens gift humanity teleportation technology, but it basically makes a perfect copy on the other end and kills the “original” through disintegration. So in the episode they go to teleport some woman and the alien can’t confirm she transmitted so they have to abort the full process and don’t kill the woman. But later on the aliens do confirm the transmission went through and demand balance be maintained, which makes the morality struggle interesting

I've always been a fan of those shows: Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, etc.
Well, until Peele got a hold of Twilight Zone. Ugh.

90s sort of felt like the last time anthology horror/sci-fi shows were good. Outer Limits on Showtime and Tales from the Crypt on HBO come to mind immediately.

Black Mirror can be hit or miss, but I suppose it is the closest modern contender.

Creepshow on shudder is actually pretty good. I think it's kind of the last one that I was really enjoying but you're right, all those older anthology shows are just great, even things like Amazing Stories out of the '80s, great theme song too.
