This is retarded. The fda actually you know regulating health and not being a paid whore of pharma or big sugar is a net benefit.

Not a issue of government overreach.

You can stop drinking the shit whenever you want.

Why do you need more regulation?

Same shit. Outlaw smoking, legalize weed.

Lobby for diabetes and health issues harder, corncuck.

If you're so retarded that you get diabeetus, ygwyfd.

Just stop being a fat ass. Nothing to do with it.
Would coke be using so much HFCS if the same government you're harping against wasn't subsidizing corn out the ass?

Yeah, we should put more corn in our fuel too, make sure we fuck up all our engines.

Or wait, are we supposed to be switching to electric only? You know, the clean energy produced by coal power plants?

You guys are fucking confused about my position here. I don't give a shit what's in soda. I don't give a fuck how much you drink. Personal responsibility, not government regulations. Don't subsidize the shit, don't ban the shit, let people decide what they want. If the public decides they don't want corn syrup, they won't fucking drink it. I don't want ethanol in my gas, but I don't have a fucking choice either.

That's my position. Fuck the government, fuck regulations. Personal fucking responsibility. It's YOUR fault you're a fat ass. Not corn, not Coke, not the government

Exactly. He falls back to an idiotic position as if this isn't all a consequence of widespread compromise of our government to corps.

What's your next moronic take. That processed foods are just a libertarian choice?

No regulations is just as extreme position as regulate everything. Unregulated capitalism lead all companies offshoring manufacturing and the current H1B mess because it made their excel spreadsheets look good at the cost of wage growth.

If you want to eat garbage, eat garbage.

Why is it my problem? I don't eat garbage.

I stand by my claim. You guys are fucking retarded.

REGULATE ME HARDER.

The people didn't get the choice in the move from sugar to hfcs. That was all big corn lobbying. Reversing this would be a good use of FDA's raison d'etre. Remove HFCS as an option, given that it causes fuckloads of health issues. Let companies figure out whatever else to use instead.

If you want freedom from all regulations, then it's time to end corporate personhood and the liability veil as well. Unregulated capitalism will have people putting poison in the food and water to save a penny. As long as we are free to give them what they fucking deserve in return, I'm game.

Lets remove all regulations in real estate next, then he can rent a pod from Blackrock once they buy up all residential properties. I for one will enjoy my unregulated libertarian pod life.

Aren't they already doing that?

Doesn't seem to help.

Time will tell, but a pure libertarian position will always end with them living under someone elses boot, be it a progressive, capitalist, or anarchist, that is a certainty.

Caveat emptor only works when the average consumer can have full knowledge of every product. We passed well beyond that sometime in the 18th/19th century when technology started outpacing society. It is literally impossible to be a renaissance man in 2025.

It seems unlikely to be a swift change. Coke delivers HFCS by rail car to their production facilities. Switching that ingredient to a non-liquid would require a decent amount of retrofitting to their facilities.

If I had to guess, they would only be making it in a few production plants, which means it's not like they're gonna replace the flagship product - not pulling a "new coke" again.
They can turn cane sugar into liquid and I think Coke used to be a big deal in Louisiana so it has some historical symmetry.
