I tried the Dave's Hot Chicken "reaper" chicken yesterday. They make you sign a waiver when you order. I got the combo with 1 tender and one slider. It was definitely hot for a chain restaurant. I like hot stuff and it made my eyes water and my nose run. Even caused some mild stomach discomfort a few hours later. It didn't really taste that great though. I didn't regret it just for the experience but with a drink it cost $16.50 and I don't think I'll be going back.

looks like they dip it in an oil of hot spice, thats how my nashville hot chicken looks

This stuff is pretty good; they have a few other blends as well but wanted to give this a shot first.

Scorpion, Ghost, Reaper infused salt.

I've been swapping out lettuce for fresh spinach on sandwiches when its an option

Try shredded cabbage sold in a bag as ”coleslaw cabbage” or some such thing. That’s all we use nowadays for tacos and on sandwiches. Tastes better, holds it’s crunch a lot longer and actually has nutrients.

Shredded cabbage is awesome. Keep it raw for something like you said, give it a quick braise with vinegar to make it a highlight in almost every dish. Texture, flavour, all wrapped up in a head of cabbage. And it's cheap. And easy to grow.

I dislike green/purple cabbage. I can get down with some Bok Choy though. The only times I'll eat it normally is as cole slaw or kim chi. Even then radish kim chi is superior to cabbage.

Try some red cabbage shredded, sauteed a little with some apple cider vinegar and a couple scoops of sugar. It needs to be crunchy still. Great side dish for bbqed burgers or whatever.

My grandma used to make it with salt and pepper and garlic with some Parmesan cheese grated over it before it's served. Good stuff and super simple. I'd probably add some red pepper flakes but she couldn't handle anything even slightly spicy.

Yesterday, I went to Burgerfi for the first time in at least 5 years. It was always on the expensive side--more than standard fast food like McD's and Burger King, but cheaper than Five Guys. I got a burger (which was admittedly really tasty), onion rings, drink, and a kid's combo (cheeseburger, fries, juice box). Total cost was $38.00. What. The. Fuck.

Just the burger combo was $18 and change. Then another $1.00 to upgrade to onion rings instead of fries. That's insanity.

I know the company has been circling the drain and is probably in its death throes. I used to go there once a week when I lived in the city and had one in walking distance. The food was still great, but not at that price. I could go to Red Robin, Chilis or a diner for a bigger and better burger for much cheaper

My arteries hardened watching this. Yet I want it.

Not to this level but once in a while the Little Caesar's here just puts a preposterous amount of toppings on the pizza. Like 2-3 times what you would expect. I have really considered trying to do a study to learn which employee does this and what their work schedule is. It's definitely not every time but it's happened to me several times over a couple of years so I'm assuming it's a long-term employee.

I usually will order double pepperoni as my normal order. One time I got a deep dish and it was crazy pepperoni and pepperoni oil everywhere.

respect the process

anyone whose made their own little shitty pizzas in their ovens knows that toppings really screw w/ your cook times, like it sounds silly but makes sense that the flat pepperoni takes up so much surface area the pizzas take longer to cook (and most pizzarias will compensate for this by using less cheese, they just don't tell you, so youre actually getting swindled out of your pizza), these guys just go, nah cook it separate

but fuck going to jersey for any food ever

I miss the Papa Murphy's we used to have. Man I could go for a Cowboy pizza. That pizza has heft and was like 12 bucks then.
