My dad likes cheddar on his apple pie. Good sharp(3+ years) cheddar. I could see the sharpness contrasting well with the fattiness of the crust. I prefer apple pies with streusel toppings, so I don't think cheese would work well with that.

I don't know about apple pies, because I think cooked apple is an abomination. But fresh apple slices with cheese, pretty much any kind of cheese, are awesome.

I'm assuming you don't like apples that are cooked to mush? Mealy, soft apples before cooking are going to be even worse after cooking. Turn those fuckers into cider. You can still have an apple pie where the apples have some texture.

What's your opinion on apple fritters? Best donut or bestest donut?
