A little late joining this thread, just like most things in the game. (^_^) Would drop my account every time a deployment came up, (military) then come back to the game and another expansion was out. This server I can experience some of the zones I missed because you needed a group for them and all the groups were playing the new content.

Started here with a mage/monk. Was going to try and keep just the 2 but several levels later added necro mostly for the lifetap proc. Wish I'd kept it just the 2 to try it for the challenge.

Usually went mage as my main back in the day because it was least dependent on needing uber gear to still raid at high levels. But required a good chunk of time to start: summon pet, summon food/water, summon weapons/armor for pet and self, etc. Then med mana back up.

Only ever got mage and cleric into the 50's. Cleric on the FV server where fewer things were no-drop so all the plat the mage saved could outfit the cleric to take some hits if/when he pulled aggro.

Was a little concerned here about the fast leveling. Like to slow down and enjoy some of the low end content. But being able to shunt the exp to AA's for later halps solve the problem. also the global speed buff makes trying to level a rogue type more enjoyable. Going to try one soon, gave up on it back in the day as S/H moved at such a crawl.
Any class with an innate IVU paired with a monk gets regular invis to living and dead at the same time If all you want is some sneaking. One of many reasons why pal/mnk/ber is so popular.

You can now issue commands specifically to swarm pets using the /pet command!,

Encounters,
Zebuxoruk will no longer transition to phase 2 time rewinds and accelerations while any summoned echoes (boss adds) remain alive. Defeat them to disrupt his temporal shield. (@ammordius),
His rewinds have decreased in effectiveness and each time Zebuxoruk rewinds time, the amount of health he recovers is reduced, stacking. (@ammordius),

Misc,
The Polymorphist in the Bazaar now sends tells instead of using quest::Say. This change was made to avoid players accidentally changing features they didn't intend by clicking say messages while others use the feature. (@ammordius),
A Marquee message will be displayed when a player attempts to leave the Bazaar with a Trader's Satchel,
Detrimental spells no longer use precision buff timers.,
It is no longer possible to claim a title that you already have.,
Crucible of the Elements is now twice as likely to drop from the Elemental Gods.,
The Elemental Gods can now drop both a crucible and their essence instead of one or the other.

New Feature - Character Select Overhaul

Use your Character Slots to create more than 12 characters!
Organize those characters into Character Sets!
24 Character Slots and 2 Sets initially available.
Up to 12 additional Slots and 3 additional Sets are available via EOM unlocks.
Additional Slots and Sets will become available in the future as gameplay & event rewards.

New Feature - Dispel Suppression
Buffs are now 'Suppressed' for 36s instead of removed when Dispelled. ( @Zimp )
Suppressed buffs return when the suppression expires, but cannot be recast until then.

Combat
Heroic Strength contribution to autoattack damage now has diminishing returns over 100. ( @ammordius )
Heroic Dexterity now directly scales bow damage. ( @Castleguard )
Spell Effects not cast from spell gems no longer can incorrectly inherit the Heroic Intelligence or Wisdom bonus because you were casting a spell from a spell gem when the effect occurred. ( @ammordius )
Spell Effects from AA abilities (not procs or combat skills) now receive Heroic Intelligence or Wisdom bonuses. ( @ammordius )
The "darkness" line of dot / snare debuffs for Shadow Knights and Necromancers will now still apply their dot if the target is immune to movement speed changes. ( @Convection )
Debuffs on Non-Pet NPCS are now tracked with 'Precision timers', so that their full duration is applied regardless of tic timing.

Warrior
Rage of Rallos Zek now has a fixed duration of exactly 12 seconds, and is unaffected by either buff extension effects or server tic timing.

Beastlord
Bloodlust now has a fixed duration of exactly 24 seconds, and is unaffected by either buff extension effects or server tic timing
Necromancer
Necromancers now have access to inherent DoT critical chance, similar to Wizard's ability to inherently crit DDs. This chance is a seperate roll for crit if the primary crit roll fails, and is not affected by any other source of crit chance. ( @ammordius )

Wizard
Wizard inherent critical spells now use the player's critical damage instead of a lower randomized value. They also now print a message critical informing the player their Wizard ability triggered. ( @ammordius )

Ranger
Archery minimum damage increased.

Bard
Bard DoT song damage increased.

Rogue
The Sneak Attack line (Sneak Attack, Thief's Vengeance, Assassin's Strike, Kyv Strike) is now usable during other disciplines, and provide a 12-second buff with their original effect rather than a discipline lockout.,
Backstab will now use either your primary or your secondary weapon, whichever will produce the more damaging Backstab.
The Sneak Attack line now has a fixed duration and is no longer extendable.

UI
Map Filter is no longer it's own unique window, rather integrates into the existing Map Window. ( @voidless )

Misc
Jeweler Imua in the Bazaar has been practicing his enchanting and can make you an enchanted platinum bar for a modest fee. (@Convection)
Burrower Event Spawn timers have been reduced ( @Eldarian )
A number of NPCs in FV have had their dialogue fixed and accept multiple spell swap turn ins simultaneously ( @MathewW )

Bugfixes
Wake The Dead style abilities (WTD, Army of the Dead, Necropotence, Shadow Curse) no longer create pets which can cast Fear, Gate, Shadowstep, Charm, and other problematic spell types. ( @ammordius )
Necropotence and Shadow Curse now create pets based exclusively on the corpse of the mob that triggered them.
All Glamour weapons are now Primary\Secondary
All Glamour Bows\Throwing are now Ranged only
All Glamour Shields & Misc are Secondary only
Familiar buffs now correctly stack with other spells. (Notably, Zombie Bunny & HP buffs). This does not affect if Focus effects stack, but the buff itself will stick.
Spell Gem #1 is no longer disabled when using /cast ( @Zimp )
An Undead Knight in the Temple of Sol Ro now appropriately responds to expected quest text. ( @MWadstein)
Guardian of the Forest will no longer be a permanent buff duration at rank 1. ( @Eldarian )

Bonus loot credit is no longer tracked for Seru when players do not actually engage with his encounter, and exploit certain mechanics to have him start a lower hp total.
Mobs should now more reliably choose to path home when they lose their way. ( @ammordius )
Fixed incorrect damage calculation for bow damage at certain level breakpoints.
Barter/Buyer should now correctly work across zone shards ( @Neckkola )

Temporary debuffs instead of outright dispelling all your buffs is an amazing change. Couple that with the ability to cast non-memmed spells, and buffing/staying buffed is easier than ever!

It only works out of combat, unless the spell is on your spell bar and then you can use the command whenever. It’s intended for buff spells but no idea if it works for offensive spells initially until it puts you into combat on whatever mob you cast it at.

Really enjoying this server and the unique take on the game.
It has rekindled my love for a game I have played most of my life. I really didnt think this level of re-invention was possible.
Kudos to the team for bringing this to vision to life.

If you are on the edge of trying this one - do it. Really cool ideas, excellent community, and a really engaged dev team.
Can't wait for the SSF features on the 27th.
