The Last Ship

A boat filled with explosives is way more dangerous to a destroyer than an anti tank missile would be. It hits at the water line on a low to non angled surface so the armor there is less than impacting off the front armor on the main superstructure. Had the helos been launching anti shipping missiles from that close of range it is unlikely it could have survived one let alone multiples. But old soviet hellfire equivalents would probably cause some damage but mostly superficial and repairable.

It was objectively bad, especially both Captain America and Science MILF characters. I didn't mind acting tho, since my brain was too busy fighting nonsense writing. Would watch couple more episodes to see if there's more warship porn than vaccine/cure drama, but it doesn't look good at all.

Hey, I found this fairly entertaining. Much better than yet another police procedural.

Stereotypical evil Russian villain...although given the way some of his officers were glancing around, I wouldn't be half surprised if they frag the admiral eventually.

Also lol at that guy who has the relationship with that girl getting mad after he put himself into the situation to begin with

As cheesy as this show is, it's got me hooked. Show will get interesting when they find the line sex trade ship that has avoided the virus.

The dialogue back and forth between the Russian Admiral and the American Capt. was cheesy. I really wish the capt. would have blasted them and chugged out of there.

Not sure really how the russian thought he was really going to get the doctor lady. Give her to us or we shall nuke you. Okay sir go right ahead. Then you get no cure and you and your crew and everybody you love dies to the weaponised plague. They cannot take her from the ship themselves the "spy" they had never had any real chance of success.

Also one thing that bugs me is why the doctors sat phone was not placed in a secure facility after its existence was made known to the captain. There is no reason for it any longer after all access to the CDC was lost.

Liked the three episodes so far. IMDB has 9 episodes listed so far. Since it is a cable summer series sounds about right.

ok show but not sure how they can stretch this out forever. the foreshadowing is too heavy handed, mole guy asking the captain "WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOUR FAMILY WAS TAKEN" derp

10 episode season so only 7 more this summer, would be nice if its setup like fargo or horror story or true detective where an entire story is told in 1 season but I am pretty sure instead they are gonna go full retard by the end of the season.

Yup a pure strain carrier would not be absolutely necessary to generate the cure but likely would be a tremendous help in doing so.

the logic for not firing was that the russian ship had nukes so unless you can score a total kill rapidly the other ship will just set off a nuke and kill everyone
