Genuine questions for you all...

Given Disney's track record with movies and franchises, specifically Star Wars in this case...Are you really excited for this? Is it hope or cope?

I'm not sure anyone is particularly excited about this thing. I mean it could be the best Disney movie of the franchise but that's a pretty low bar with Rogue One? probably the current leader.

50/50 on this, it's between a cash grab that won't matter at all versus them trying to revive interest in Mando because they want to do more arcs with the characters/era.

Not really. I might watch it when it comes out on D+.

Doesnt look terrible but definitely looks like they are going to go more of a buddy cop comedy route.

If it has hot Gina Carrano in fighting fit shape in it I will resub to d+.

after season 1 of mandolorian i would have been very excited, mando s1 was GREAT and just the rejuvenation star wars needed - down to earth, grounded, (cowboy) western themes heavily emphasized

after season 2 i would be cautiously optimistic, s2 had lots of flaws but the finale was really cool and set up some interesting ideas, mando off on his own for a while what is he gonna do without lone wolf and cub?

after boba fett/season 3 i just don't give a shit, both were piles of shit, regressed mando back to "its about the toys, duh" and was way too goofy with really bad writing.

if it reviews well and i wanna duck into a dark AC room in the summer i might see it in theaters but 95% i'll just watch it at home, go "eh" and never think about it again.

I think this could be good, but it won't be anything spectacular. What I mean, it's going to feel like great TV movie at best which isn't necessary that bad.
