Still not psyched about Seth MacFarlane running the show here, but feeling a little better about this now that we have more joke punchlines. The EV gag was great.

It's so hard without Leslie Nielson's amazingly dry and serious delivery. They are really hard shoes to fill and while this does seem like they're doing it some justice, it'll be hard to disassociate from Frank Drebin's character.

Once again, the coolest back round jokes from the original are redone and highlighted too much here in my opinion.

It doesn't matter how good the movie is, or how good Liam is...police squad and naked gun "ARE" Leslie Neisen to me.

Liam Neeson is kind of "intense" for a role like this I think, while Leslie Nielson could play a dopey guy with a serious face.

Hopefully Neeson channels the ghost of Robert Stack for help. That dude was incredible.

I rewatched Dracula: Dead and Loving it earlier this year. Shit like Spy Hard is even great, it had Matlock and even hulk Hogan shows up. My wife laughs at me because I like the slapstick comedy, but it's just fun.

He was also awesome as the president in the Scary Movie franchise:

OJ joke got me in the first teaser but the rest looks like absolute shite. Liam is way too serious like he's in another taken movie. No way he'll be able to hold a candle to Leslie.

Yeah, just doesn't look really funny. I don't even care for that Goofy a million ways to die in the West or whatever the hell or whatever it was called but I'm kind of getting the same vibes.

That movie is wonderful, probably the exact reason this movie is not going to work. Nielsen was just perfect for that dry slapstick humor, and I'll think Neeson can pull it off.
