I'll get in on this Leslie Nielsen lovefest.

Dracula: Dead and Loving It is one of the funniest movies ever. My friends and I still quote the shit out of it almost daily. So goddamn good.

"give him an enema' "what?" 'give him an enema. It will give him a feeling of accomplishment.'

Such an underrated movie.

Back in 1994 the Undertaker had disappeared and WWE ran a series of Naked Gun style vignettes with Leslie Nielsen. His friend George Kennedy was out of work and needed money and Leslie asked Vince to hire him as George wouldn't take charity. Just pay him out of what you were going to pay me Leslie said. That's how we got George Kennedy at that year's Summerslam alongside Leslie doing a bunch of their shtick.

Because Leslie Nielsen was a bro.

I rewatched Dracula: Dead and Loving it earlier this year. Shit like Spy Hard is even great, it had Matlock and even hulk Hogan shows up. My wife laughs at me because I like the slapstick comedy, but it's just fun.

He was also awesome as the president in the Scary Movie franchise:

Scary movie 1 and 2 were alright, but #3 made me laugh. Nielson was amazing throughout it, and the movie had some great gags. The whole funeral scene had me lose it. Slapstick humor tends to be my favorite of the comedy genre. I definitely invite more movies in that style.

I didn't hate the trailer.

The presidential address scene was still my favorite out of that movie, but the alien news bit and the finale had me rolling. I saw all of those movies or at least the first three back in college with my buddies cuz we used to go and watch dumb stuff. I saw all of Dr.Uwe Bolls brilliant films back then and I became a tradition to go see them because they were so hilariously bad.

The goddamn Aliens power walking in the background in the one bit just had us laughing our asses off. It did such a good job of making fun of that stupid Signs movie.

My favorate line im scary movie (3?) Was when the black dude decapitated an alien and spoke up like he had an epiphany "without their heads, they are powerless!"

It's an amazing film, worthy of our praise, plus the Wayans brothers they're they're honest respect due to them because of in living color, and after a wonderful ideas like Handyman.

I just love their stuff when I was growing up as a young teenager back in the day. I mean they've been doing stuff since the mid to late 80s up to right around the 2000s possibly?

Yeah, I will also put my nod in on the lovefest for Leslie Nielson. Which is very possibly why I won't like this movie. It's one of those "you're screwing with near perfection for the sake of nostalgia and reboot money."

Add in that I have liked some Seth McFarlane stuff, but he's also an insufferable cunt.

Free on YouTube we have

Day of the Animals (the degrading ozone layer causes animals to turn murderous) with a pre-Airplane pre-Creepshow Leslie Nielson as our antagonist all with commentary from the folks at Rifftrax.

I won't be watching this in theaters, for sure. If Critical Drinker and that crew say it's all right I will give it a watch on netflix or whatever when it shows up. They probably could make a decent film by just taking the piss out of Liam and his body of work for two hours.

Angie Tribeca fit the Naked Gun humor better
The show, yes. But rashida wasn't a good analog to leslie. She was the one recognizing how ridiculous the shit was.

Sledge Hammer did a great job with this humour too.

Is it just so absurd that it becomes funny?

Yea they nailed the assignment. Like is no The Naked Gun but its far and away better then the two sequels. The comedy tone was spot on, they had wordplay gags, visual gags, old-school setups, prop humor, absurdist humor, fart jokes, sex jokes, potty humor, its not like woke at all all in 85 minute screen time.

Lian Neeson sells it though, dude is fucking hilarious and ZAZ would have hired him for Airplane if he a thing back in then. A lot of the cast however are not known for comedy. CCH Pounder (Claudette from The Shield) is really funny as well and is perfectly cast in this if you have watched the show (she plays off of type). And its nice seeing Pam doing stuff still.

It comes you laugh and it leaves before it becomes too much. God bless the Lonley Island guys, this really could have been a disaster and its just not. Comedy is subjective, but if you are not laughing at at least some part of this you are probably dead inside lol.

Well that's surprising. I may have to give it a fair shake after all.
