they created stranger things. the big dispute is they want to do movies for theatrical release and netflix wants stuff for netflix on day 1. its interesting they walked, says a lot about the state of the industry right now.

its not like movie theaters is a great long term bet but then again how long until netflix, hbo, disney, etc all start losing massive subs because the content is shit and the price keeps going up.

Meh, Netflix got this shit at its prime. You and I know the longer this goes the shittier it will become. Just like anything, past season 3-4 its over, lol. Spinoffs? Same thing.....reboots? Meh... Its just like any of the great franchises... Terminator, Robocop, Matrix...etc...etc.. the longer it goes the shittier it becomes.

Haunted Hotel is around a 7/10 show that went more for story than the comedy. Chuckle-level gags with a spook backdrop that sticks to episodic happenings rather than arcs.

On the flip side, Netflix started this whole streaming thing and did it because they had tons of catalogues they could offer.

You can say it's not good because Netflix is super woke, but are they really anymore moreso than the rest of Hollywood?

well WB also is a huge movie studio that puts out theatrical movies and Netflix has less than zero interest in theaters. i don't care either, but one less company making movies ain't great

second the fewer companies making stuff, the less competition and everything in the past 40 years has shown us that corporations fuck us even harder with less competition. yeah, i pirate everything but there is less and less good stuff to pirate nowadays. like 40% of my torrent downloads now seem like anime, i think i can count on 2 hands the number of movies i download a year which is kinda wild
