Did anyone else start to fear that when Will was chasing after Mac he would get there just in time to find her with a new boyfriend?
So so glad that didn't happen.

Is it me or did Sloan not get to explain her point.
She didn't and she made a point (aha!) of asking Will if he was doing it deliberately and his response was "No but it's working out wonderfully!"

I enjoyed the season overall, my main complaint would be him bringing in a new cast member to use as the Genoa scapegoat. If he had done that he should have had the balls to hire whoever played Mandy in TWW

I loved the little spiel at the end with McAvoy defending his party affiliation. I've had the same thoughts several times about why I'm not a republican. Components of the platform are attractive, but all the moralist fearmongering that goes with it is ridiculous.

The Don/Sloan thing was pretty win. I'm probably a terrible judge of acting skill, but I think Munn is doing alright.

Both parties right now are not what they were on a core level. Both are ruled by their extreme sides currently and that is one of the many reasons nothing gets done. The Republican extreme is more vocal, but the Democratic extreme is just as dangerous if not more so. Both extreme wings hate each other now and that is bad for every American. I am an Independent with just as many right leaning beliefs as left leaning ones so I can really tell how polarizing the two parties have become in the last 30 some odd years. Anyway not to devolve into a political debate, even though on a basic level The Newsroom is a political debate in and of itself.

Lots of things to look forward to next season. And to me this was one of the best episodes so far, if not the best. To relate what I mean, on a basic level I hate Jane Fonda, but Leona was awesome last night. This is probably the only movie or show she has ever been in that I like, even though she is in it. Thankfully her role is small, but still good overall. Also I never thought Jeff Daniels would be able to pull off such a good dramatic character like he does by being Will. Simply a great role for him.

It did seem like more of a series finale than a season finale, which made me wonder if the third season was tenuous. I found the season finale too sweet and a bit of a mess. In the constellation of the season, perhaps, the sweetness was intended to offset the bitterness of the scandal/lawsuits. In isolation it seemed off. Not aiding the episode was the scattered, frenetic, and seemingly pointless interactions in the beginning of the episode, which seemed to rely on speed and intensity to seem more interesting. The the ham-fisted elation of the season finale would suggest quite the fall next season.

Both are ruled by their extreme sides currently and that is one of the many reasons nothing gets done.
That seems to be a slightly false dichotomy. Let me know when the extremes of the democratic party, which would really be the green party, appreciably dictate policy. The two party system offers varying shades of grey. [Mildly amusing to contemplate]

Again I do not want to bring a political debate into the TV forum, however did you miss the 2010 "We have to pass the bill to see what's in the bill" statement that has led to the train wreck of Obamacare by the extreme democrats in power at the time?
That's the limit of political debate I want to bring here. But yes it rules them.

You cannot make a more right wing scheme of universal health care than Obamacare. I would know, because it's a carbon copy of the swiss system of health insurance. Thanks to the US we went from having the second worst system in the word to being tied last. An extreme left wing health care system would have no private option, equal service for everybody and a cost dependent on salary.

Anyway.... looking forward to season 3!

Nixon. Dole. Romney. Obama. Healthcare is hardly a democratic ideal. I would question your desire to avoid a debate in this thread by posting an easily debatable, and equivocally trolling, statement. Your example regarding a fringe left-wing plan is about as centrist as you can be as it satisfies neither extreme.

I do not see your point Binkles.

The extreme left Speaker of The House, Nancy Pelosi, made that statement about Obamacare. They did not want people to know how screwed up the bill was/is and they fell for it hook, line, and sinker. It is still a massive train wreck. The unions who supported it in 2010 are scrambling to get waivers from it now as they see the unintended consequences of it that "may" destroy their unions. (The end of the 40 hour work week, exchanges being cheaper options then union healthcare, employers preferring to either cut hours or take the penalty vs providing healthcare, etc) The extreme left pushed this upon the Democratic party. And I agree it is a horrible form of healthcare. A better left leaning one would be preferred.

My point being I would not like to debated it in THIS FORUM, not that I am not open to debate it in the political forum. Anyway hopefully this is the last post not about the show I will have to make here.

Let's hope for many more seasons to come.

The extreme left did not want Obamacare. Obamacare is based on the old Nixon administration plan and Romneycare.

The 'extreme' left wanted single payer, like EVERY OTHER POST INDUSTRIAL NATION ON THE PLANET ALREADY HAS.

That's the thing, the 'extreme' left in America is merely the CENTER everywhere else.

Will/Mac have absolutely no onscreen chemistry when they're not mad at each other.

Just a quick bit that made me wonder what the fuck...

Mississippi is MS, it's not abbreviated Miss. When talking politics. It's motherfucking MS, just like Cal is CA, Michigan is MI, Texas is TX, etc. it isn't abbreviated to 4 letters when every other state is abbreviated to 2, what the fu k.

Aside from that, season was good. Kept me thoroughly invested and the finale(part 1-2) were really good. I wish they had went further with Jim and Taylor though(their chemistry is so much better than any other "love" couple on the show.

By my definitions of extreme verses far with in the parties.

She is extreme left, not far left. Far left takes you outside the liberal mindset and into the socialist/communist mindset.

Extreme left is are liberals who attack anything not liberal and refuse to debate or compromise. In other words she is the poster child of Extreme left.

Extreme right and far right are similar within their mindsets. Extreme right is the Tea Party and to a lesser extent Libertarians. Far right is Fascism.

Again these are how I have seen and called parties for years as an Independent so you mileage may vary as to how you call them.

Made me broke my hope of not posting non show related posts. Hehe.
