Completely unbelievable. She enunciates her words far far FAR too clearly.

I think there's a huge difference between some DEI in barely noticed roles and DEI for the reason for the entire war. I know, thinking is incredibly had for some people, but the difference is there.

Dark Knight and TDKR did do more domestic opening weekend, without even factoring in inflation.
on track for $800m - 1b global over the next 3 months. VOD date is expected to be 120 days after release, or mid November.

I still want to see what the second week drop off is like, I am going to be Negative Nancy and say it will be over 70%.
Why?
Because, God Damn It, someone has to.

Yea I dismissed Pattinson as the Twilight guy up until I saw the Lighthouse. Oh wells I'll catch him in Dune 3.Pattinson, as usual, steals every scene he's in.
I think when I saw The Rover with Guy Pearce when he was playing a retarded man in the Apocalypse, and then The Lost City of Z is when I realized he really had some acting chops. Both of those being before The Lighthouse if I'm not mistaken, but that also is solidified the fact that he's damn good at his craft.Yea I dismissed Pattinson as the Twilight guy up until I saw the Lighthouse. The idea that it's going to behave like Supergirl is certainly a thought.I still want to see what the second week drop off is like, I am going to be Negative Nancy and say it will be over 70%.

It only made 24% of its weekend from IMAX (which is still booked solid for next week). Presales for future days don't count until the actual day of the showing. That 1st week was heavy pre sale imax. Now that people have seen it 2nd week dropoff should be huge
Dark Knight was pg-13. That makes an enormous difference. It's the highest r-rated opening of all time outside of the Deadpool films. Probably would be a bit higher if not for the world cup today.
I think it's almost guaranteed it makes a billion.
Good TimeI think when I saw The Rover with Guy Pearce when he was playing a retarded man in the Apocalypse, and then The Lost City of Z is when I realized he really had some acting chops. Both of those being before The Lighthouse if I'm not mistaken, but that also is solidified the fact that he's damn good at his craft.
He managed to pull out of being I guess typecasted or known for what you would say a highly successful IP, and totally shift gears. I sometimes forget that he was in those Twilight movies which I don't think I ever watched but maybe the Riff Trax version of maybe the first.
I honestly hope that what somebody posted the other day in the Batman or DCU thread is true that they're shooting both of those two movies back to back, because I honestly enjoyed that first film and I'm excited to see the rest of it.

I guess we will see next weekend. Cum bubbleIt only made 24% of its weekend from IMAX (which is still booked solid for next week). Presales for future days don't count until the actual day of the showing.
That is just cope from people who don't know anything about movie box office. People who are seeing it are highly enjoying it. The estimates for the first few days were below the actuals. It's going to have positive and strong word of mouth.
Don't worry, you guys still have Supergirl to high-five and ass pat each other about.

I'm not sure why you keep comparing it to the Batman films when they are PG-13 films. The ceiling between the two is extremely different. They're also direct sequels. It would be a better comparison, if still lacking.I think that's a bit premature. 53% of all tickets sold were premium format. Will people continue to spend extra to watch this and does this have legs past next week when it will have actual competition? I don't think it will and don't think people will continue to pay premium through the entire run. The only thing that may push this over a billion is the massive inflation of the past 5 years.
Both Batman movies opened higher overall and much higher in the US. Both Batmans had legs in the US but both dropped significantly after week 1. Will the international market carry this? It will have to.
Isn't this fucker like 30 years old? Why the fuck is this guy still playing teenagers?Tom Holland does Tom Holland. He's still playing the young, naive guy he's still doing in all of his movies, but he does it with a decent intensity.
