I checked Halifax several days ago and the imax was sold out for the next few weeks. Pretty sure I posted here about it but who the fuck knows, I type and delete so much garbage it's shameful. However, If this is true for fucking Halifax it's probably true for every Imax theatre in North America.

yeah imax tickets are wild, citywalk in LA has 6am showings that are pretty much all sold out (front row avail) for weeks and weeks. I'm in San Diego for summer and no 70mm imax theaters around here. I have Frontier GoWild pass so I can fly to LA for the day for like $30 rt and thought about doing it and visiting a friend for lunch and seeing Odyssey in 70mm imax but tickets are sold out almost every showing, its wild. Plus you know, fighting all the homeless in LA is not fun in summer heat.


I wouldn't be shocked if the hold second week is a 30-40% drop at most, which is extremely rare. Still, expectations are 50-60% drop (normal) or ~$50m weekend 2 BO.

Nolan is certainly capable of doing this. The degree to which Bisi is jerking himself off over this pretty much just demonstrates that this whole thing is about virtue signaling and cultural marxism, rather than telling a decent entertaining story. We are all tired of that, plain and simple.

Forgive me if I don't lose sleep over the opinion of a Canadian liberal. After watching these parasites "subvert" expectations for "the modern audience" for dozens of IPs with maybe 1-3 actual original franchises for the past two decades, I am done with the made for Netflix. And before you play the smug card here, no one complains about Elba, Newton, Denzel, or even Fresh Prince in pallet swaps, because those people can act/entertain and its not being done for race baiting's sake.

I slept on Denzel and Antoine Fuqua Magnificent Seven movie for a long time, but it's probably one of my favorite modern westerns. It probably didn't help it had some stupid rap song for the original trailer, and I just wrote it off, but he replaced Brenner, and it's a great movie. It's one of those things where the race swapping isn't noticeable because the damn movie is good and he gives a good performance.

But I will never forgive the Idris Elba for that abomination that was The Dark Tower.

Sator dug up gold bars in that Soviet city decades prior to the movie right? And they were inverted by people decades in the future? How limited exactly are we talking? That city would've been built just a decade or two prior to him getting the bars.
