I don't know why you feel this is such a huge gotcha. Actual theater goers for the opening weekend film often give a positive review when prompted. I'm also going to wager that someone who has the app and is willing to respond to the prompt generally likes movies, unlike the many who say how they don't go to a theater anymore because it's just not worth it.
Yes, there's surely a selection bias towards positive reviews but at least they watched the movie. It's why stuff like Cinemascore almost never sees lower than a C grade for movies, and even that's rare enough. You can at least still make relative comparisons.
All the people who knew they would hate a film simply don't go to the theater.
I'm sure the unverified audience has plenty of people who watched the movie but I guarantee you there's a ton of people who haven't and just want to put their zero or ten.
Don't try to pretend all the unverified actually saw it, either, not for a culture war flashpoint. You can see the very same behavior right here when the film had 14 one star reviews to virtue signal before it was even available to watch. Both systems have issues, but I don't see how that is the superior route at all.

The Woman King with the 99% audience score is so fucking blatantly insane I don't know how anyone can take RT seriously.
I'm not even saying RT has some woke agenda, but I do know for damn sure they have a financial agenda which is tied very closely to the financial success of Hollywood studios. RT is not some website run by an unbiased ethical movie lover anymore. It's a business and the customer they service is Hollywood.

I would absolutely accept that they know that verified audience numbers from the app are going to almost always be at least mildly positive. It's the same kind of results that Cinemascore (who polls ticket goers and sells the data to studios) gets because of the very nature of the selection bias involved. I don't think that means they're faked or that the unverified scores are somehow more real.
Do you not think that any person who saw The Woman King on opening weekend already had the political/personal mindset that would be agreeable to watching such a film in the theater? Vegans don't go to barbecue joints and non-liberals (and plenty of liberals) aren't going to see a film about a black warrior queen.
It's also worth remembering that the value that gets used is either a simple positive or negative, not the exact number they might have given in the poll result. A 99% doesn't mean that it's a 9.9 out of 10.
Having a few critics or friends who are regular movie goers that you align with cinematically is way better than any aggregate score could ever give for anybody. Still, I think you need to see the fucking film if you're going to leave a review.
If the review is in depth and actually engages with the movie on more than a surface level then you can glean things from it that you could tie into your own preferences regardless of if the review is positive or negative. But that person needs to have actually watched the film.

Don't disagree. Anyone willing to go see The Woman King opening day is going to be a particular type of person that I likely would not agree with on a number of things.
I'm so picky about what I watch now that I look to friends and one or two "critics" if a movie looks questionable. Streaming I'm a little more lenient on for obvious reasons, but I'm not going to the theater for anything I have doubts about.
I also look to this place. I've never met anyone here in person or at least no one that still regularly posts here, but I know the personalities of people here better than I know Mike S. from Bakersfield.

When did they explain the time limit on inversion? Again, Sator dug up gold bars in that Soviet city decades prior to the movie right? And they were inverted by people decades in the future? How limited exactly are we talking? That city would've been built just a decade or two prior to him getting the bars.
Which is not how it would work. Since the crash was "there" to un-crash from the perspective of the regular time, nobody would have to clean up the crash. Quite the opposite. People would have to come in and set up the crash so it would be there to "un-crash" and leave the road clean afterwards.
Whether the clean-up crew was inverted or not, it'd still be people carrying a car wreck onto the road and leaving it there for the next day/week whatever. Them walking and talking backwards wouldn't make it less weird.

Just on the topic of movie scores, I personally find Letterboxd scores the best for finding movies I like. It's not often I get a super high letterboxd scored movie that turned out to be a dud.
RT is far too corrupt to trust for movie scores. It also seems to be the political battleground everyone's picked for their culture wars.
On the other side, IMDb is just plain the worst.
