I mean they go out of their way with wigs and hair dye and stuff to make the targs look authentic, then they throw in some black people with mops on their head to play the minor targ house. The bald guy is the only one who doesn't look ridiculous.

Mmm, Dunkirk was not my favorite either. It wasnt terrible, but I still much prefer the original.

Dunkirk was just completely overshadowed by 1918 IMHO.

And neither hold a candle to truly epic war movies like Saving Private Ryan, Apocalypse Now, Platoon, or even Full Metal Jacket.

1918 was fun to watch and a technical accomplishment. Dunkirk kind of dragged on without any really great sequences except for the spitfires.

haha there are people on my local fbm trying to sell the shitty imax popcorn bucket for this movie. who the fuck wants a camera popcorn bucket, you can't even jerk off in it

there is one hilarious scene in the movie where penelope starts screaming about how she has been sitting on the throne for 20 years and its not fair that women can't rule but it goes nowhere, just more modern creep. the costume video is on point for how modern so much of it looks (troy too), also most of the city locations are way too clean, i have to imagine a lot of those places were filthy and the people gross AF. works great for future scifi stuff, looks uncanny valley wrong when applied to history.

It seems as though everything in general has regressed from what, for instance, early Game of Thrones did, or going back to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which absolutely shames modern productions, especially the armor and the vast amounts made for the films.

Troy came out 22 years ago and makes this look like even more of a clown show.
