I spent a few years looking into and reading up on the UFO phenomenon back in the early and mid 2000s. I came to two conclusions then. The first was that the field was stuck in a rut and that there would not be much to gain from further following it at the time. The other, inspired by Vallee, was that while you can't prove a negative, and even so I wouldn't quite want to completely rule it out, I decided that the theory that UFOs were physical craft manufactured on other planets and piloted by biological beings that evolved on those planets was one of the least likely outcomes.
I sort of left it at that until last year when I started to listen to some podcasts again and follow some researchers. Now I think that I am sort of coming to some sort of a conclusion. I think that the most likely scenario is either that this is some sort of an inter-dimensional phenomenon, or that this is some sort of an Earth based phenomenon (be it either some sort of time travel, or a break away civilisation, or simply some different species that evolved on this planet but now lives underground or someplace. It's all that really makes sense to me.
Vallee seems to have predicted this all along, and so much of the phenomenon seems to revolve around control and influence over us, pushing us in a certain direction, that, for me at least, is something that is more likely to come from a civilisation that shares this space with us in some way.
