I remember reading about a crash retrieval in brazil where 2 or 3 different units ended up shooting at each other over it. I was going to put some of that kind of stuff in a game I'm working on.

I probably wouldn't use actual names, but did any info ever come out about these private units working for the big defense companies? Even if the whole thing was a tall tale it would be pretty good reference material.

I know the one you're talking about, but can't recall the name of the incident due to there being so many out of Brazil and south america in general.
That incident was likely posted in this thread in the first 100 pages. No clue if the links are still good.

Maybe a few names off the top of my head might help?

Colares from '86
Varginha from '96
Bahia Blanca from '62
Salta '95
Magé 2020

Best I got atm.

No I'm a full believer but something about him feels off.
Grusch?

I didn't watch the clips, but the line "... will be very happy to understand their place in the universe." reminds me of "We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism"

I hate how they just drop small hints about shit they supposedly already know about. Why not just come out and say it right now?

It's just irritating as fuck and makes me hate the people doing it. "I know something you don't know, ha ha." If an adult did that to me for more than a day I'd tell them to fuck off. But here we are with these same assholes doing it for years.

Interviewers need to stop giving these people any air time at all unless they give more info. But they're after those internet clicks.

They have to toe the line between believability and too many specifics. It's like those doomsday cults that were vague for years but then went all in on a specific date. When that date came and went, they lost what little credibility they might have had. If these guys get too specific it is a lot easier to prove them wrong. And then their fame, money, attention, whatever it is they are seeking, fades away into nothing.

Like, if Lazar ever produced his element and people proved it was something mundane, the gravy train would stop immediately. If he produced it and it was truly extraterrestrial, he'd be set for life, despite his claims of fearing for his life. If there was really something for him to have that was that earth-shattering, they'd have killed him and everyone he knows long ago just on the chance he has it. But if he never produces anything, he gets the benefit of the doubt from people that want to believe.

Lazar doesn't have a gravy train.

You should be skeptical of every figure in this "movement". This topic has bore out very little of worthwhile intrigue over 60+ years. But hey, buy my book!

I was also under the belief that Grusch had never seen anything firsthand, he'd just seen documentation of some sort?
