I bought my original 27" QLed monitor on sale, a Samsung back in 2018 and I figured it was time for an upgrade. The picture and color are fine and easy to adjust, but I cant stand being capped at 60 any longer.
I should have this ASUS 32" by Thursday, hopefully its the tits. I sit back from my screen a bit because sitting close tends to give me motion sickness, so the extra viewing space is a huge plus. I'll give an actual review after it arrives.

Have you posted how you display these or have you thought about how to display / presentation case for them at all?Two more for my collection. For those that don’t know, I collect Minor League Baseball hats, usually their alternates.
The Cap City Olive Burgers & The Eugene Exploding Whales
I love them both and I love how both have roots to the communities they are in, instead of only being a silly name. Lansing (and mid Michigan) is known for their Olive Burgers and over in Eugene they actually did try to blow up a beached (and rotting) whale back in the 70s and…well, it didn’t go according to plan we’ll say.

i do dig your hat collection. really cool.
Thanks! It’s been fun and it’s always fun when someone is like “Is…is that a box of Chinese take out on your hat?” And I tell them about the team and usually laughs are had.i do dig your hat collection. really cool.

I’m always on the look out for more. It’s to the point now where I can coordinate them with what I’m wearing.

I've never had to turn off a circuit breaker to install a ceiling fan. The wall switch works perfectly fine. That would allow you to use a plug in work light . You can always use a modest drop cord and plug into the bathroom receptacle as well. They are on isolated circuits.I'm on a roll with experimental purchases lately. See the shaving thread for my other positive experience.
My sister bought a new house and I've spent way too many weekends helping out there, and lately we've been installing a fuckton of fans all over the place, and of course you have to turn off the breaker while you're doing it. Natural light is good enough most of the time since it is summer, but in a few locations we were rigging extension cords and shit, so I went and looked for a cordless rechargeable work light and found this:

This thing is fucking amazing for the price, and sadly it is even cheaper than what I paid for it (was $13.88). It looks like it would be fairly cheaply constructed and flimsy, but it is solid and sturdy. Everything about it is fucking great. The magnets stick well if you have something solid to attach to, the hook is firm enough that it will stay in intermediate positions despite the weight of the lamp, the tripod works perfectly, and the battery life is very solid. And it is bright as fuck. Don't be a dumbass and do what I did and turn it on while it is facing you to check if it works.
I liked it so much that I ordered another one (at the higher prices as well!) just to keep in the car for emergencies, so I can keep the original one for random shit around the house. It is fucking great for spotting shit you drop on the floor or behind something because it is so bright.
10/10, highly recommend, particularly for the price. The only thing that could make it better is one of those hot tool calendar chicks to hold it for you.
I use the switch that is provided with the device. Saves guesswork.I've never had to turn off a circuit breaker to install a ceiling fan. The wall switch works perfectly fine.
