I just saa your response to this bc I guess I wasn't notified due to multi quote? Very good timing bc just today at Kroger we picked up some fat free Fairlife and already have some ON vanilla protein powder, xanthum gum, and regular vanilla pudding. Can get some fat free if we need it. Going to try it out tomorrow, letting it freeze tonight.

Bought a DJI Mini 4K to take pictures of our home build. It was "Used - Like New" off Amazon for just under $300 so figured why not. Never had a drone, will be fun to play with and kids might like it. What I wasn't aware of was the whole "binding" process of the drone and controller and user account. When this one came in it turns out it was already bound to someone else's account. The "only" way DJI can unbind it is by having you fill out a request online using the drone serial number and other information, then sending that request to the original account owner, and them manually unbindimg.
Like wtf ever, man. Sounds like a huge PITA so I thought about it and decided if it was going to have to be new, just step up to the Mini 5 Pro and be done with it.
Going to take it out to the lot tomorrow and take some pictures, and drop off the 4K at UPS.

They did but I think the nuance is that most stuff previously accepted by FCC is still good, they just can’t bring in anything new because they’d never be granted a license.
I really looked for something US based and Skydio exists, but really didn’t seem to cater to the consumer/prosumer market. DJI just really had it in the bag so it is unfortunate. I can’t even get DJI Care for this (didn’t realize beforehand) because their customer service said they suspended all the service options in the U.S. I have no idea who the big local player is or will be in this space.

Picked up a Virtual Boy earlier in the year thst unfortunately didn't work. Found this one with fully replaced parts inside and it works like a dream. Its not a 'fun' system so to speak, but there is something fascinating about it and the complete failure of it at launch. A fun curiosity to have at the very least.

A big reason I wanted this was because I rented one at Blockbuster back when they were heavily promoting it. The one I posted back in January had Mario Tennis, which was the pack-in that came with the system. But, because the lens was busted on that one, I had to return that with it.
Interestingly enough, the Virtual Boy is not region locked so this one came with V-Tetris and Panic Bomber, both Japanese. I bought Teleroboxer to go along with it. All told, I have V Tetris, Panic Bomber, Teleroboxer, Red Alarm, and Vertical Force.

How do you like the Sonos? I read that it can't decode some of the common blue ray audio types and it has really put me off to it. I had bebe planning to put it in my living room when I move my speakers to a separate HiFi set up.

Really enjoying the Sonos. It’s not as good as my old 5.1 setup, but for the size and ease it’s excellent. The sub makes a big difference though. You’d have to do at least the mini if you didn’t get the sub 3 or 4.
Sonos is active in their subreddit and are making app improvements weekly now. It’s very easy to use and my wife and kids (9 and 6 1/2) have no issues streaming their music over to it and love watching all their shows and movies the tv with the system rather than any other room.
I don’t regret my purchase at all. Well worth it, eat for the voice clarity on shows/movies.

Bought these in January, got to use them last night. 2 hour show, funny as hell. Sore throat this morning from laughing. He is in Vegas Fri-Sunday and sold out all 3 shows. Didn't get home until right at midnight (do not live in Vegas). Great time with my wife

He must have done a huge advertising push b/c suddenly he was popping up all over my Instagram and there's 0% chance any of my searches include comedians. Maybe it was some algorithm through someone else on my follow list.
Our anniversary was Thursday and there's been so much going on with the kids and my surgery and the home build, we kind of agreed to be lazy this year. Each year I make her a framed photo collage of our year in review from Minted like this one. Still working on this year's but it takes a while to comb through all the photos and pick the right ones that fit:
Anyways, today we took the kids to Bass Pro to kill time and while looking around she was complaining about her $20 Amazon rain jacket and how she really wanted a new one, so I agreed to do that for our anniversary. Then we were looking at Sunglasses, and I've wanted a new pair but have no idea what looks good on me. So tried on a bunch of different ones and she ended up really liking these Ray Ban, so she got me them.
She got an Outdoor Research 3L in Pink

Wife is British, we watch a lot of UK comedians. He's in a few funny shows so we were well aware of him.

The clips were funny as hell, especially focused on his audience banter. There were 3-4 of his specials on Netflix and we were going to try them but hard with an 8 year old and 3 year old that just want to repeat everything they hear.
