I'm sorry... "you guys"? There was no "you guys", Tarrant, there was Gavinmad. His beyond obnoxious spamming of the same shitposts again and again and again was objectively making the GG thread worse for everyone.

Gavinmad is the second person I've ever reported. By and large, I don't think anybody should be punished for anything they have to say here. Having said that, I've seen threads go to shit before because morons who are nowhere near as clever as they think they are mistakenly think it would be funny to reply to everything a user posts with the same comment/image ad nauseum. I would have probably let it slide anyway, but when I read Tuco's "If someone is shitposting, report it. Moderators have enough discretion to handle it." comment in the Ask Amod thread, I decided "Why the fuck am I being so polite? Gavinmad's objectively shitposting (not just saying things people disagree with/don't like to hear which is where the term 'shitposting' is often misapplied), so I might as well try to get a mod to do his fucking job and at least give him a warning to prevent that garbage from continuing." Considering people have reported me and I've been punished for FAR less, let's at least try to see some kind of fucking consistency here.

I will give you this: Gavinmad's image spamming is a form of "Let's shit up this thread and blame it on the black sheep" message board harassment, and I have zero patience for that. DelicateFlower's posts, from what I've read, are generally terrible. Several people (including yourself) responded to him with a modicum of maturity by actually addressing what he was saying and how silly it was. Good on you. But I have seen (and you have too) threads that I have posted in turn to absolute garbage, NOT because of what I was posting but because of how certain users chose to respond to those posts. "It's the only way to respond to such stupidity" and "Maybe this will get him to stop shitting up the thread" are hollow, shitty excuses for acting like an obnoxious child, and having been on the receiving end of such behavior I have reason to act when I see it happening again.

It doesn't matter how stupid you think someone's posts are. If the only way you can respond is by INTENTIONALLY acting even stupider, you'd be better off keeping your mouth shut and letting more mature people handle it.

I actually DID start with a single report (after MANY spammed images), and fuck all was done. I figured "If the problem is that he keeps repeatedly posting the same garbage, maybe the mods need to see actual repetition before they acknowledge it", so I began to report the posts as they continued to appear, again and again, figuring there's no way any mod would just let that shit slide. In the end, apparently there were no consequences at all for Gavinmad (none that I heard, anyway), and I was punished for reporting shitposts. You can't make this stuff up.

2 holes in your analysis:

1) Why am I responsible for the proximity of Flower's IP? I'm not the guy, I don't know the guy and I have clarified that.
2) Why was nothing done with Gavinmad? Apparently you can break rules and get away with it, or NOT break rules and get punished, based entirely on whether you're in the "ol' boys' club".

I mean, is your point: "Yeah, but you already know you're not in the 'ol' boys' club', you already know people are going to assume you're lying even though you've never lied and have no reason to, so just accept it"? It really seems like that's what you're saying.
