I mean if you read the feminist ideology it explains itself, why do I have to explain their ideology for you? you could say because capitalism, because colonialism, because racism, because nuclear bombs, because masculinity, because patriarchy, because utopia, because dystopia, because if you read their own stuff they have a giant laundry list of shit, and you want me to pick one reason? which if you can get all abstract about can go in many different directions? or you can look at it from a meta pov, because money, because power, because narcissism, because men and woman think differently, because white guilt.
I mean it's a university course but it's not exactly physics is it, we teach physics because it helps you understand physics which allows you to understand how to do things in the real world, same with math, or biology or chemistry ect, you can't really say that about feminism not in small part because of how vague it is. when it comes down to it they teach it because they want more people to be feminists, it's not like you get a gender studies degree so you can apply it to build a building, you get one so you can apply it to apply it's critique and change peoples minds, so they change their actions.
