did she not use let's play footage in her video's now?Fana: "he's just an extreme example of a scam artist, which is not isolated to woman or video games, but if you are going to accuse someone of believe someone is a scam artist you can't help but talk about them as people."
Sure, if you "believe" someone is a scam artist then yeah, you're going to say mean things about them as a person. Bernie Madoff is a convicted criminal. Being an actual scam artist, not a suspected or accused scam artist, is literally all we know about the guy. It would be hard to talk about him without referencing that. Sarkeesian is a pop critic who said some things you didn't like. The "scam artist" accusations are a joke. They were added onto the pile of ridiculous attacks leveled against her ("she stole footage", "she harassed herself", "HITMAN!!!!!", etc) by people desperate for anything, ANYTHING they could hold against her.
Ever heard of the village idiot? Yeah it can totally be endearing.Nirgon: "ya know I really didn't personally attack anyone
you try to reach some people and just.. welp.."
So... "idiot" is a term of endearment?
you don't see a basic contradiction between her using let's play footage and her claiming hse personally played all the games? + there's an interview of her I think it was the network one where she shows a computer with video cpature she says she bought with the kickstarter funds so she could record herself playing videogames.Fana: "did she not use let's play footage in her video's now?"
She sure did. She was allowed to. So what? She also used her own footage. And? How does any of that affect the points she's attempting to make? Like I said, the anti-Sarks will latch onto ANYTHING if it will help them paint a picture of her as a villain, regardless of whether there is any merit or even relevance to the accusation.
yeah ok, 5 different maybes that don't seem likely especially within the context of their use in the videos + "these situational maybes does convince people you're desperate" = white knight level 99 maybe you can reach 100 if you try harder.Fana: "you don't see a basic contradiction between her using let's play footage and her claiming hse personally played all the games?"
There is no contradiction. Using Let's Play footage doesn't mean she didn't play the games.
Fana: "+ there's an interview of her I think it was the network one where she shows a computer with video cpature she says she bought with the kickstarter funds so she could record herself playing videogames."
And she did record herself playing games. Just not all of them.
Fana: "if she has all this footage of herself playing video games why would she use so much let's play footage?"
Maybe it was easier to scour YouTube for specific scenes from games rather than playing through multiple hours to get to that scene. Maybe she already played through that game but didn't have footage of it. Maybe she played the game but not that scene. Maybe she thought the scene contained enough context that whether or not she played the game up to that point was irrelevant.
You're arbitrarily deciding that for her points to be valid, she needs to have captured ALL of the footage of herself playing all the games (and there are tons referenced in her videos)... because reasons. If she's wrong about something, explain how she's wrong. Trying to nitpick how extensively she uses her video capture equipment or how many YouTube videos she used serves zero purpose. It does nothing to convince people she's wrong, in any case. It DOES convince people you're desperate to portray her as a villain and you'll latch onto any justification to do so, though.
You wouldn't know since you'd just be permanently, patiently waiting for them to deliver.Haven't been scammed yet, by "a women" (sic) or otherwise.
One of your friends managed to make you think the moon landing didn't happen.Doc: "You must be very easily scammed. At least if it's a women doing it."
