I never got titty-twisted over people making any kind of criticism about Anita's choice of anything. I've seen a lot of fantastic criticism of Sarkeesian and I'm always looking for more.
What pinches my tits in self-righteous hypocrisy. When the need to portray someone as a villain overrides one's ability to look at an argument rationally, the Tanoomba signal soars high above the city skyline. The vast majority of things Sarkeesian is accused of "lying" about are not lies at all when you look at the available information objectively. That doesn't matter here, though, because many have committed so whole-heartedly to the narrative that Sark is a liar, fraud and con artist that they can't turn back now. They're at the point where being presented with evidence that contradicts their beliefs actually STRENGTHENS their resolve (there's a scientific name for that phenomenon but I forget it). On the other hand, when someone who's on their "side" makes statements that are far more easily proven to be lies, everyone turns a blind eye or rationalizes it away using weak-ass non-logic. If this were any other topic, there would be no disagreement that Sark's not actually talking "about Hitman". But because it suits the narrative, people are pretending words don't have meanings, they are discarding context as if it were Styrofoam packaging, and they are twisting the English language in nonsensical ways, all in an attempt to justify some guy's blatant lies, because he agrees with them. It's simultaneously hilarious and disheartening.
