Well, let’s also ignore the fact that they had neither the quantity of C4 depicted to create the explosion we saw nor the time to deploy it throughout the ship after the spikes started waking up.

I figured the ship was made of space magnesium like the ship in Who Goes There (the one would eventually become The Thing) and once it started burning that was it.

How would it not burn up upon entry into our atmosphere then?

You can pick this movie apart all day. It's like the Biden admin, it's to easy.

They had the foresight to bring a gas powered concrete saw? They show the group moving around on snowmobiles with one little trailer. Very fortunate to bring the exact items you need and nothing else.

They could have had them just open a hatch, but they really wanted the scene with the black dude chainsawing the bad guy. This is just indicative of how they really could care less and just want to have a shifty narrative.

Wanting another action scene you could have had J Jonah Jameson have Russian contacts and Putin sends in a fucking team of mooks with our heroes with a bunch of gear and then a double cross and blam blam blam move move move explosion.

Why have many scientists working on a problem when you really just need one woman. Which leads me to another point. Why are they sending scientists to fight the war shouldn't they be doing SCIENCE!

They sure seemed like they drafted a lot more black folk and sent them off to die in the future.

The R group were all scientists being sent to do research in the future because it's easier to do research when you are in the middle of a warzone, especially when you are only there for 7 days.

Pretty meh. Ending made the least sense(ignoring how they carried enough explosives to destroy the ship). One second the world is united to sending people into the unknown and the next it's we can't be bothered to send a single airplane to russia?

This was fine. The comparison of Edge of Tomorrow meets Starship Troopers is pretty accurate. If they leaned more into the campyness and not tried to be so serious, it would of been better. 6/10 dont regret watching it.

Yeah, and there was a full research team (the ones Pratt's group was initially sent to rescue) in Miami, instead of the safer ocean base for reasons. But, at least the Love Boat was there, so it could randomly run into the Time Tower after being overrun.

The plot has pretty big holes and is downright strange at times when you think about it a minute but it's entertaining, there's a fair amount of fighting the zerg and the characters are more relatable than most movies these days.

Starring actor isn't a complete douche irl, so that's another point if you like to consider that.

It's not going to blow your mind but it's worth the download.

i am PROBABLY wrong, since Betty Gilpin said she finished shooting this back in 2019...

but when the dude sawed the alien my VERY first thought was that it was a dig at army of the dead for hyping the saw but never using it.
