I never made any claims that Hamas wouldn't stop attacking Israel, I merely stated that the inclusion of Hamas in the PLO wasn't going to change the PLO's negotiating positions or signal unified agression with Israel. Which it fucking hasn't, there aren't any rockets getting fired off from the West Bank, it's all Hamas and the Gaza Strip, it's not a PLO offensive. Also the expectation that the PLO can assert any kind of control over Hamas is laughable, the PLO has no standing army and barely any police to enforce laws in the West Bank. They can barely pay any government employees, and rely on Israel to collect the majority of it's tax revenue (Tariffs) which it regularly holds/delays. My brother in law's cousin works as a tax collector in the west bank, he was given a sash and told to find some volunteers with weapons to protect him as he goes door to door assessing properties based on the number of animals housed on the property and the number of rooms in the house. Most people live in 2-3 room houses where at least one of those rooms is occupied by livestock. It's not based on the amount of money you make, whether you have a job etc because the government isn't organized/funded enough to track any of that. It's literally the amount of live stock you have and how many rooms are in your house.
The PLO is strategically kept weak by the Israeli's, and the expectation that they can exert any kind of control over Hamas is crazy.

It is absurd to say the Israeli's don't want peace. Israeli's would love peace. They treat the Palestinians with far more dignity and rights than probably any other country would given the circumstances.
However, you hate jews and so think they should just get the fuck over it and get wiped out while the Palestinians get their single state.
You say the two-state solution will never happen? If you think THAT is unlikely, well, its sure as fuck way more likely than only a Palestinian state.

Considering Hamas was voted into office by the people, why does the PLO matter? There is obviously enough people that agree with Hamas that the PLO is basically irrelevant unless you are advocating further splitting Gaza and the Palestinian people?
If the PLO cannot provide police or order in Gaza how are they a legitimate organization to discuss peace talks with?

hareetz is a jewish newspaper, I believe one was ny times, this isn't like hewbrewphobia newsletter material it explains it quite rationally, in war you can steal other peoples land and nobody complains you can't do that in peace time. there's been numerous isreali leaders that have said that they need more land and more israelis if they are gonna be able to survive long term in a land surrounded by millions of arabs.

The contrast between the economies and standard of living in the West Bank vis a vis Gaza is testimony to the fact that terrorism is only making their situation worse. When you have living proof that if you don't suicide bomb or shoot missiles, you won't get air-striked and your economy is allowed to evolve, yet you choose to still shoot missiles, the failed state of your society and your civilian deaths are on your hands, not your opponents.
Hamas can keep shooting missiles that terrorize the Israeli populace, and severely disrupt daily life, but Israel's Iron Dome system has evolved to the point that it is unlikely that Hamas is going to hit important targets or cause significant loss of life. Yet they persevere, despite knowing this fact. Why? Because they create their own casualties via human shields to drum up world support from democracies that they ironically have contempt for. So people like Fanaskin can post pics of burnt pallie kids when Hamas fires rockets from their schoolyard. The creation of civilian casualties is what they crave, because that is their REAL weapon in this war and ongoing struggle.
And fucking Fanaskin, you keep ignoring the facts. Israel, having laws that protect arabs and freedom of religion. Laws that protect women. Laws that grant Arabs more rights in Israel than they do in their native Arab countries. You ignore the fact that none of these laws in respect to Jews exist in most Arab nations, yet you condemn Israel and defend those nations that don't even make a pretext at being tolerant, let alone have laws that back it up. Incredible.
