We had a fair number of drive-ins in S Fl when I was growing up. We went maybe once a month when I was really young.

I recall reading something a while ago. In the past, artists, musicians, and others craftmen usually did their best and most impressive work when they had a wealthy patron. The movie industry sort of acts like a version of that and helps those vocations make a good living.

I suppose you are imagining a "Hollywood dies and Texaswood lives" or some dumb shit like that. Sure, maybe. But I don't think it is as simple as CA trying to get rid of porn by passing some laws that made it harder to shoot that type of stuff and then a huge chunk decided to produce the content across the border in NV instead lol

Yeah in addition to the other things I said, the "ghetto" drive in won't have attendants help retards turn their parking breaks off. Maybe your neighbor went on a night that was too busy, this is why I like weekdays.

Also do you know what they called those balconies that theaters use to have for segregation in the south?

Still at least two left. Fun-land in Lake Worth and in Ft. Lauderdale. Same "chain" as the shithole I went to in Tampa though. And both lake worth and ft. lauderdale have bad sections, id be cautious. SMALL town drive ins are the best.

No, you are thinking way too much into this. I am not imaging some economic relocation. I want Hollywood to die so these rich, self absorbed lib pieces of shit can go broke. I feel the same way about pro athletes. Our country provided their lot with untold wealth and fame and instead of using it like Gary Sinese does (to help people) , they instead chose to preach to us how evil and racist we are. Fuck them. It is as simple as that.

Ft Lauderdale used to have the Thunderbird Drive in. Dont know if it still does. Made most of its money as a swapshop every day. The bigest problem with going to the drivein down there was the fucking mosquitoes in the rainy season. We used to have to burn these little coils of foul smelling shit to keep them out of the car. I remember at some point a couple of them used to show porn. Porn at an outdoor drive-in. Simpler times indeed.

in the 70's my town had a "softcore" drivein, think they mostly showed edited foreign movies like Emmanuelle. while about 20 miles away there was a hardcore place. it had dividers between the parking places. they were both forced to close. i am almost certain the hardcore one still stands even though it has been closed for like 3 decades.
