Those were reshoots or possibly to fix continuity since it got shelved for a bit.

Filming for the Disney+ series "Ironheart" took place between May and November of 2022. Principal photography began in June at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and then moved to Chicago in late October 2022. The series wrapped filming in early November of 2022, though additional photography was reported to occur from February to April 2024.
I actually misread what you were talking about, my bad.

This movie is going to post record losses.

Planes mostly fly themselves and pilots are there to follow procedures and potentially do heroic shit 1 in every ~10000 times that the flight isn't completely uneventful. If you clap for the pilot you should jerk off your uber driver for making it to the airport, since you are both 100x more likely to die in the car than the pilot or any plane passanger over the course of that pilot's career.

The only reason they are releasing this is because it's in the can and been on the shelf like 2-3 years. I am sure if they hadn't of dumped too much money in it they would have erased it.
Isn't that a D+ show?

Yeah, Ironheart is a six episode TV show, that as others mentioned was finished (at least the first version) years ago. Cheadle's Armor Wars was a planned TV show that was then converted into a planned movie that was converted into 'indefinite hiatus'.

Last I heard Ironheart was still coming out In June, apparently because Disney is clearing out the last of their original-timeline shows prior to Fantastic Four.

I have a feeling with all these DEI hire pilots that the probability of dying in a plane crash has drastically increased.

Also. Women. Nuff said.

“We all know that in our zeal to flood our streaming platform with more content, that we turned to all of our creative engines, including Marvel, and had them produce a lot more,” Iger said during Wednesday’s investor call. “We’ve also learned over over time that quantity does not necessarily beget quality. And frankly, we’ve all admitted to ourselves that we lost a little focus by making too much. By consolidating a bit and having Marvel focus much more on their films, we believe that will result in better quality. I think the first and best example is ‘Thunderbolts*.’ I feel very good about that.”

happy to hear they are gonna refocus Marvel mostly to movies, they should really give Ironheart the Batgirl treatment lol

Didn't they spin off the Disney+ shows as their own separate division?
I think the shows would be fine if they were just stand alones (Think Werewolf by Night). That way you could watch if you wanted and not have it feel like it was required just to keep up with the MCU.

Now can Iger authorize some budgets for Star Wars movies? Or is that still a no-go.

So we're at the point where beating out Eternals, Captian Blackmerica, and Shang-Chi in one very specific category is considered good numbers? Are the Eternals and Shang-Chi numbers inflation adjusted?

It needs $450M to break even.

FF will also bomb.

Maybe they will get the hint and shelve the MCU for a decade or so. People don't want any of it any more.

If we could get another 6+ years of MCU that's on par with the first 6 starting with Ironman that would be awesome and very much welcomed.

They need to get rid of the woke shit with extreme prejudice and fuck off with the "girl boss" bullshit.

People want GOOD MCU movies, hell, people want good movies again, period.

Go back, look at what the most epic/loved story arcs in comics were, look back at which characters were in those arcs, make movies that are true to those arcs and characters as the early MCU films were (back when Favreau and Perlmutter were running shit.)

If you have to recast, then do so, but think of it more like classic Bond movies. People could roll with recasting James Bond for the longest time because whereas the actor changed the character didn't change much, and the actors magically remained the same race/gender. Think Sean Connery -> Roger Moore -> Timothy Dalton -> Pierce Brosnan. Notice how none of them changed the gender, race, or sexual orientation of the character? They didn't even really change the hair color....

Hell, we've managed through what now? 6 different Batmen in films, and 6 OTHER guys voicing him in animated series. We don't HAVE to kill off Iron Man or Captain America just because the actor doesn't wanna do that anymore..... And we don't have to step to an aftermarket/Temu/Wish version by swapping out the character with the name.

There are soo many heroes in Marvel you don't need to recast characters. The X-Men phase is gonna start and it's going to become Iron Man who?
