There are soo many heroes in Marvel you don't need to recast characters. The X-Men phase is gonna start and it's going to become Iron Man who?
I don't know about that, since a lot of the early casting like RDJ casting and character were such a damn good match. Same with Hemsworth, Evans, Johansen, and Benadryl Cumberbund as Dr Strange. Not to mention, I don't think they can bring back the writing/story/production quality we had in the first few MCU phases....

Combine with the fact that the movie industry has changed. If they're going to be profitable, they're going to have to learn to make the movies with less budget. That's just the reality of the degree that covid killed the "average moviegoer" outside rare outlier films like D&W.

You'll be able to ask AI to create a movie for you long before Disney gets that genie in the bottle. Consider the source.

Not even that, both characters are flawed in similar ways in the comics. Sentry was portrayed very faithfully here. I also didn't have any problems with "newborn" Adam Warlock. Gunn knows he flubbed the character, but wrote himself into a corner introducing him in GotG2.

Agreed on both accounts.

But getting back to Sentry, people complain they want characters "true to the comics" and not this "mcu cuck woke bs" or whatever else they are calling Sentry....and this is literally how he is in the comics. Sentry's powers fluctuate based on his emotional stability. That's why Void was so powerful, his emotional state is just nothing and feeling empty with nothing else impacting him. No hope, no love, no nothing. Sentry could very well be the most loyal the MCU has been to a character from the comics, aside from the regular Avengers. The only place they strayed was Bob wasn't in a sentry program, he broke into a lab looking for drugs and took something labeled "Sentry Project". Pretty trivial, really.

As far as this movie...it was "okay". Far and above the best thing since End Game, but that's a pretty low bar. I saw it for $6 and I was okay with that as I had nothing to do that day anyway. I've not been a fan of anything Bucky related since the Winter Solider movie, the rest of the cast is whatever, though I like Red Guardian.

I'd rate the movie around what I paid to see it. A 6/10. It was a welcome change though from recent movies.

Took 3 kids to see it today. I liked it...probably won't ever watch it again. This movie felt less like the "Marvel formula" than most of the movies since Avengers. It had less humor in it and overcoming the villain with psychology rather than brute force was...a change.

Yelena was good, but missing most of her charm from Black Widow and Hawkeye...but probably made sense if it was intentional since she was "depressed" or "looking for purpose" or whatever.
I had to look up where I knew the assistant from...Miracle Workers. She did a good job. I just don't care about Ghost or Captain Asshole, and I don't like Dreyfus as an actress.
