some weird choices like Rise of the Tomb Raider at #18 (good game but greatest?) and no Last of Us. Only GTA is 3 with no 5, San Andreas, or Vice City?

Yea uhh, I have problems with this list (shocking!). Tomb Raider deserves to be nowhere on there; it was good, but nothing spectacular or really memorable. It's on there over Last of Us? Fallout 3 is on there over New Vegas/Fallout 2? Come on. Portal 2 over Portal? Starcraft 2 over Starcraft? No Symphony of the Night at all?

I know I'm in the minority but I honestly do not understand the constant Ocarina of Time lovefest at all.

Yeah putting rise of the tomb raider up there and not Last of Us is pretty bogus.

seems like a lot of the games they picked were picked based on how big of a cultural impact they had rather than how good they were.

List seems ok but how can you put WoW without putting Ultima or EQ. Seems dumb.
Also Mario 64 higher than Super Mario Bros... what?
And Portal 2 but no Portal
Starcraft II but no Starcraft, Age of Empires, Warcraft, etc.
DoTA 2 but no League of Legends or Warcraft III DoTA mod.

Meh. whatever.

looks like they are going by most money earned or soemthing. thats why sequels are in there.

A lot of "this game inspired/revitalized a genre" circle-jerking, but without the chrono trigger.

Makes me want to play Diablo 2 again though, 10/10.

Link to the past is better than ocarina of time, and is better than all other zeldas. No Metal Gear Solid 3 is a FUCKING ACTUAL CRIME.

Crono Trigger didnt really revitalize anything, it just is the EPITOME of 16 bit SNES RPGS and directly caused the PS1-PS2 RPG boom, but those Playstation RPGs are another mileu in my opinion

So "top 50" means highest revenues? Yea, this list is dumb. Dota 2 being on there is a crime.

No Ultima Online is a crime.
No Starcraft or Warcraft or even Warcraft III which gave birth to the MOBA genre.

Fuck this list. I was happy to see Myst, that's about it.

Also no Sonic, Megaman, etc. This list wreaks of some millennial reliving their recent childhood memories with a few "classics" thrown in just cause.

yeah how the fuck do they not include Chrono Trigger. just realized.

the soundtrack alone should cement a place for it in the top 50.
