Officially delayed to Spring 2016 now. Guessing they looked at the progress made in the alpha and even with the added help they brought in from the satellite studios they weren't gonna be done in time for Holiday 2015. Hopefully this means they are taking their time and wont release a Destiny.

Good. AAA title given extra time in development will hopefully make this what Destiny was supposed to be. Not 5 Maps (granted, big maps) at release. When an entire planet is represented by 1 location, you done fucked up.

Admittedly I am a fanboi for this shit and a huge advocate for old school PvP in any form, but the fact that this has Ghost Recon/Splinter Cell (or Ubisoft in general) third person shooting mechanics with gorgeous graphics in a beautiful world has me jizzing my pants. I'm cool with the delays as long as it means it comes out properly.

I honestly think this is my perfect game.

The playthrough during the conference seemed really realistic; they pussied out taking on elites, but were happy to stab those other guys in the back when they outnumbered after securing a win with them.

Just a heads up, they are offering beta access to the multiplayer gameplay for anyone who pre-orders. GameStop for sure, not positive about other outlets. Pre-order also comes with some bonus health backpack, a gun, and a Hazmat suit. Not sure if that's purely cosmetic or what. Season pass comes with another National Guard Gear set.

Looks like the release date is set for March 8, 2016.
