I personally like it more than Vicarious. If Maynard had the high pitched, weaker vocals throughout the whole song I would be upset, but I like the contrast of his vocals in this.

This. Sadly. There are riffs and drum patterns and rythyms played that are almost exactly what you can find in some other tools songs.

Thats been pretty much every Tool record since 2001. Couple of good songs surrounded by a whole bunch of shit. I honestly find I like APC better than the later tool (2001+) and Puscifer is some really good shit too, IMO.

I rememebr seeing them live in some Ozz Fest I went to. Dont know the yerar buit their concert was the same way, they played a couple of good songs and then went into a hour long solo fest of shit sounds...etc... I was disappointed.

IDK, I like some of their earlier stuff but I always thought the whole Tool thing was way more over hyped than they deserved.

Yeah, the drums in that song are pretty crazy. After a few more listens I think Maynard really achieved his goal of making the vocals just another instrument contributing to the sound. The vocals are usually lower in the mix than most bands but in Fear Inoculum they really blend into the music. Personally I like it when he's screaming his head off, but I can appreciate how difficult it must be to pull this off. It's an incredibly polished song which I suppose it should be after 13 years.

My cousin posted on Facebook a while back about music she should listen to while she was giving birth and I jokingly suggested "Pushit" but then I looked at the lyrics and that song is pretty disturbing if you consider the lyrics coming from a baby addressing its mother as it's being born haha.

That song would have fit decently in the second half of 10,000 Days. But there's only one good song in the second half of 10,000 Days, so...

I don't know, I like it, they have grown older and it is great intro for acid trip. Already got it pre-ordered can't find vinyl though.

Vinyl won't come out til later. No date for it yet, but supposedly in the Fall.
